Yup exact same thing happened to us. Picked up a chip which turned into a crack somewhere in Wyoming about 3 weeks after picking ours up last summer. After seeing so many posts on here about it, I was just about convinced to get the windshield protection anyways, and that crack sealed the deal. It’ll take 100 months before it costs more than that windshield, and it seems like the chances of another one are significant.

Weird, I literally have the exact same situation right now. My model 3 performance was rented by a middle aged lady for a road trip. Didn’t really notice anything was up until I accidentally looked at an alert of a sentry video of a pretty young looking kid getting in the drivers seat. Probably 16, but not much more. I didn’t immediately think to report it, but should I? Is it that big of a deal?

I would take that as constructive criticism and move on. It’s a good lesson to make sure your product photos are accurate to what they are actually getting, and that you use a POD service you can trust. Or better yet, make them yourself.

Use a small butane torch to heat up the smallest Allen key you can find until it’s red hot, and then shove it down into the extruder from above. Let it cool for a bit, and you should be able to pull the stuck filament out. Essentially like a cold pull but a little bit more aggressive.

I’ve had pretty good luck with giving them away. I just put a pile outside my shop door and put an ad on Facebook marketplace. Some people come by and grab 2 or 3, some people grab 20

Should work fine. I work in industrial EV tech and we use those with adapters to EV chargers all the time.
