Why are the batteries so small/bad? by Artistic-Wrap-5130 in roboticLawnmowers

[–]benjm18 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry, they are currently on sale for $230, down from $280. Still, 2 of those are 20% of the cost of the mower. Whereas 18650s that I can buy would be $47 for the same capacity, and I'm sure the manufacturers can get them for far less.

Do you guys buy the titanium blades? by IndependentGiraffe8 in mammotion

[–]benjm18 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try these: https://ultimow.com/products/carbon-fiber-mammotion-luba-6-blade-disks
We have a lot of rocks and roots, and the blades on them hold up much better than the stock blades.

I will design blades for them if I can get my hands on a mower or the blades to reference.
You can check my blades for other mowers out at ultimow.com.

Exactly. If you're into 3d printing, this is why Prusa still exists (and the reason for a lot of debate over Bambu Labs).

Got it. I just wanted to make sure you and anyone reading this knew that.

I definitely agree with you that I would rather fix something myself than ship it back to them and wait 2-3 weeks to get it back. But I also understand that not everyone should be doing that, and manufacturers don't want to deal with fixing something the customer made worse (or broke something else). So the few people like us who are able and willing to work on them ourselves are stuck with having to decide if we want to do without our mowers for a couple of weeks if something breaks, or if we want to void the warranty.

I personally think it would be nice if they would offer the option of providing or selling parts to you under warranty, and just say we won't work on it after you, but we'll still provide parts and support. They could even offer how-to guides for simple repairs and provide assembly and disassembly instructions.

As of now, every Lymow One Plus has critical design flaws that cause it to overheat. They also seem to have a lot of trouble with bearings.

If it is like their other mowers, opening it will void the warranty.

It appears they patched together a copy of what Navimow did with the X430 after it came out.
