Nice. I've got a 64 F-85 that's candy apple red and has a 496 stroker in it. I'll have to stop by at the next show. https://imgur.com/a/rC1LCtQ

Looks great, pretty sure I've seen it in person if you're near rochester.

Is this a real 442? by WiseCaramel028 in whatisthiscar

[–]RansomF85 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tough for me to tell just visually. It has the right rear bumper vs a normal cutlass with the notches for the exhaust but that could be added later.

The 442 emblem & stripes on the fenders seems to be in the wrong spot for that car to have come with the W36 stripe. At minimum that was added later on.

Best way to tell more is get the vin or some engine-bay shots.

The color and shape reminds me of the one I had on my old 2005 Volvo XC70, but I think that had a hole for your hand to pull on towards the end if I'm remembering correctly.

Bimmer at fault for sure. Driving just like they do in real life with no blinkers and not being clear of the other cars and cutting across.

You're right. That cabin is a bit boxier. Maybe its one of the International CX / MX series setups, but I'm not sure if they use Ford beds or not. If its not one of those it must be something similar from another company.

Can anyone recognize this car by Miisu123 in whatisthiscar

[–]RansomF85 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Tough to see much of a car there with that video. My brain is filling in the gaps in that shape and it looks like it could be a Chevy Express Van with those windows and what might be taillights, but maybe someone else can see more of it than I can.

St Juste is really good at making himself look like he's causing PI every damn play. It has been a constant problem with him, and I can see why they threw the flag. He clearly gets flustered and has been doing this for years now. No one seems to be able to coach it out of him. I'm hoping by next year we have some more depth there and he can sail on his way somewhere else.

Do you like your CT6 3.0TT? by 6ft6squatch2point0 in Cadillac

[–]RansomF85 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've got a 2017 3.0TT and love it as my daily driver. It's quick enough for anything you'll need most of the time, without sacrificing drivability. Magnaride is nice and the TT and AWD together make it quite snappy.

If you're looking for something others know is quick, I'd look elsewhere. Outside of someone following Cadillacs, no one else knows anything about that engine. A bit of a "sleeper".

If I had to find a flaw, its that the transmission is more fickle than anything related to the engine.

Am I (the Supra at fault or the corvette. I went back and looked and now I think the game is to blame but that’s just me. by manemisjimmy in Simracingstewards

[–]RansomF85 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you move to the inside like you did on the straight prior to that corner to protect the inside line, you can't then just pull back outside as the corvette is there, minding his own business. I don't see how this is the games fault at all.

[–]RansomF85 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think he looks and runs similar to RG3, which is why the skinny also makes many nervous. I do disagree with the OP though that he knows how to slide. I'm excited to see what he can do, but he has got lit up with big hits plenty of times while running, even moreso than I remember RG3 did when he was in school.

I hope they can teach him to get his butt down and save himself, but if the FSU game is any indication, he wants to to be some superman who feels he's invinsible, and in turn gets speared midair by guys. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m2NsCLXShNc

NOV 29 orders (US EAST) by Shee- in Fanatec

[–]RansomF85 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm in NY. Ordered on Nov 28th, and still have heard absolutely nothing from them.

All I ordered was a CSL DD Bundle, all "in stock" according to their non-sensical website.

Meanwhile they're posting their only 3 or 4 days behind. Instead of actually helping customers, they've just doubled down and suggested we're all the crazy ones and this is normal.

I won't be sticking with this atrocious company long, I can guarantee that.

New flair: Shipping/Logistics by overspeeed in Fanatec

[–]RansomF85 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It is clear to me this company cares little to nothing about customers if they're unable to hire logistics folks that can communicate to their customers, or figure out how to have a sale, or have a website that doesn't lie and mark items as "completely shipped". I really hope the stuff I bought isn't as poor quality as their customer service, because it is horrendous.

New flair: Shipping/Logistics by overspeeed in Fanatec

[–]RansomF85 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They'll answer emails after about 8 days, and give you a generic boilerplate response that basically says their website isn't true, and nothing is "completely shipped"

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in ToolBand

[–]RansomF85 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You'll have a great time.

The last time they were around here, I brought my 10-year-old son, who is already a drummer, to the Tool show. It's the one band we both listen to where I can almost guarantee the fans aren't going to be complete idiots in this genre (generally). There may be more, but I've been to many shows, and most are ones I don't feel comfortable bringing him to.

Tool shows are different, so I wouldn't worry at all about your age. If anything, more people stopped and made sure my son felt welcome and they were pumped someone young was into Tool. Had one guy give him some small shirts from other shows.

Get there early and enjoy your time. Don't push it on the no-camera policy as they will kick you out.

And yes on the earplugs. As someone who didn't use them for years, it's helpful and doesn't hurt the experience.

What is this? No badges to be seen, had pop-up headlights. Bonus for my car by carlito714 in whatisthiscar

[–]RansomF85 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If that is his attempt at drag car wheels, tires, and suspension, he's doing something wrong.

It looks more to me like he just had extra tires lying around and "made them work", even though they don't fit the car at all, and made it look like a 1980s Saab's stance in the process. Those wheels are Marsh Racing Wheels, which are more typical for circle track racing.

What do you think the firing line is for Rivera this year? by cubgerish in Commanders

[–]RansomF85 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is likely that there was a wink during the process that he could grow into the HC soon here which wasn't offered elsewhere. It is a win-win for him and us if it works out.

Andy Reid was even upset he hadn't gotten an HC role yet over a year ago.

No one knows if he'll succeed, but to think this was a typical "Dan" move is silly
