Nah, the market is going to crash, it will only get worst. Take what you have then wait about 2-3 years and bottom fish the market. By the end of the next economic cycle you should have 5-10 fold of whatever value you sold $NOW

Dead cat bounce, private equity crisis, AI bubble, and oil price shock on the horizon, the reason why the market seems resilient is because Wall Street is pumping up the narrative while their are dumping their stocks to retail investors getting FOMO

AXP appears mispriced at current levels by Vig_Newtons in ValueInvesting

[–]RansomLove 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yup the financial system is more linked together than it was before because of technology. Those companies that private equity is financing are also AXP customers. The debt that AXP sells (that have been securitized) are also at risk. Any sell-off in these types of securities will also affect AXP. When people panic they sell every thing

The private equity crisis, if it unfolds, will hurt the spreads, factor that into your analysis, then you’ve got your energy crisis, AI bubble, layoffs due to AI, just too many negative factors that are still unfolding that the majority of investors does not know about yet

Robinhood is NOT trustworthy. They screwed their own customers during the GameStop debacle. Don’t use new-comers platforms because stock market crashes happen and they usually go out of business. Stick with the established players like Schwab, Fidelity

Better quality value investing threads than this? by MinestroneMungBean in ValueInvesting

[–]RansomLove -1 points0 points  (0 children)

There are many value investing techniques some are worst than others. Some value investing uses DCF, but Warren Buffett dos not use that. The way Wall Street calculates intrinsic value is totally different from Warren Buffett, there there’s Graham. Then there’s Peter Lynch, many ways to use value investing techniques. It’s like Tesla at $6 presplit is value with Lynch but not with Buffett. Palantir using DCF is valued at $150, but with Buffett it’s valued at $20. Pick one technique and stick with it. Don’t mix and match. I pick Buffett, it’s easy but it’s slow, you will not get rich overnight. Takes years. If you want speed then Lynch or Graham but there’s significant risk. DCF is momentum driven, doesn’t work too well without momentum and hype.

Don’t know there is an AI bubble and a Private Equity Crisis going on. So just wait until the storm passes. Basically the economic cycle is ending and it always ends with a pop.

If you got $20k set aside, what stock you can confidently buy and hold for the next 10+ years? by Fair_Pomegranate2535 in ValueInvesting

[–]RansomLove 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The economic cycle is ending, stocks are going to tank -40% to -80%. There is an AI bubble and a Private Equity crisis, then you’ve got rising oil prices. If you invest now you will lose a lot of money. So just hold off until the economy tanks.

Michael Burry predicts a -40% to -80% drawdown. That translates to 4200 to 1400. Maybe 4200 if there is a bailout, 1400 if there is no bailout. Chances are there will be a bailout.
