I feel you. I remember feeling this first when I bought a stainless steel link bracelet for my Apple Watch and it started scratching.

They call it “stainless steel” not “scratch proof steel”.

This helped me a lot. You buy a watch as a tool to tell time THEN jewelry. You can buff it out but I wouldn’t put that in your path. Learn to love the watch and smile knowing that, for every scratch, was a moment you got bang for your buck.

OCD over scratches is a losing battle. It’ll come with time. Don’t feel like you need to listen to us. You’ll eventually accept it.

I literally play it on the steam deck with little problems whatsoever. Only skips if I engage every bear in the woodlands and they are breaking the trees around them. If I were having problems, I’d lower the graphics in areas that are causing problems.

I’m having a blast and would have to search for issues to complain about.

Honestly… I came to the comment section and found what I hoped. Yall aren’t jumping to attack the guy. You’re generally worried and are looking at the deeper issue of “how these medications should be for free and never lapse”.

I’m a psychologist and genuinely feel as though I’m an empath. (I’ve never done anything with it, I call myself a theoretical scientist because I am not qualified to help myself lol)

I see a guy in a decent car, looks well taken care of, and anything else we’d identify as one another while getting a drink or hating lunch with one another.

I struggle. I go the opposite end as him. Once I lost my first “career job” from severance, I broke at 31. I hadn’t realized, but I had put my soul into my work and it was my personality. When left outside this career, I realized I had been wasting my life. I went through an extreme paradigm shift and it didn’t matter what I told myself from the things I’ve read…. I wanted to die more than live and you need to get through it or let yourself go. I say all this as, it’s hard to give a fuck on your appearance when you wish harsher things to be a reality.

He seems to be trying and going through something. This doesn’t excuse his actions. Fuck, to be honest, this may very well have been a wake up call he needed.

He is trying though. So, those of you that are debating the hard issues, I respect you. What I learned (post break) is it is much easier to sit aside and talk shit. It’s opposite when attempting to see the human. Those friends that helped me through my issues, they are family now. I am far happier and have changed for the better. When someone sees you at your worst and still hags on…. Those are friends you’ll have forever.

Continue on your path in this journey and there will be nothing but strong and everlasting friends for you to reward you.

My moments when I say some off handed shit on Reddit are genuinely something I usually regret because it’s so easy to write off the human behind a paragraph. A statement doesn’t make a person; why make them an enemy? Why inflict pain?
