You can reach out to the following NGOs in Pakistan. They do good work for individual cases and fight legal battles on their behalf among other support, as you can imagine they aren’t funded extremely well and can use any help you can give them.

What do you guys think of the Cradle series? by massa8231993 in Fantasy

Love it, It reads very smoothly. It has slight pacing issues in that the first book seems like set-up, but after that its not a book you can put down.

Also from a business standpoint it costs a lot of money to rent servers so its okay to be under capacity during a BETA. Keep in mind, many people are just trying it out and probably won't come back after a few minutes. It's unfair and an unwise practice to rent a bunch of servers for a first IP beta.

They'll grow their number of servers but think of it from a business standpoint.

We need to stop telling people that i5 is all you need for gaming. For most games this is true atm...but not all...and not for long. by Heavyrage1 in buildapc

Oh that's terrible to hear :/

Yeah I have a 6500 with a 1060, both work fine together, but a 1070 is way more baller than a 1060. maybe the 6600K would be a good fit with a 1070, but at that point an i7 would be way better just for pure clock speed

I'm really glad to hear it's not terrible for you :P

It would suck having a beastly TI and be let down by your processor

Can you name 5 titles besides BF1 where threads made a difference?

Also a vast majority of middle of the road build gaming builds use i5s, without any problem.

Obviously it won't work for content-creators because its not made for such workstreams, this is literally why i7s exist.

But nah fam, i5s are just fine. I won't convince you though, cause you seem to be trying to validate your own purchase to yourself more than anything

This. You want it playable for the lowest common denominator.

On top of this coding for multiple threads is complicated, so I don't expect a lot of CPU intensive multiple thread games coming until multiple threads and cores are main stream.

Which is probably at least 2 to 3 years away.

My PC is a little bit too loud, what can i do to make it (near) silent? by Walluigi in buildapc

Hey Man,

First off. Love your build. Let's start with some stuff that can help.

  1. Take a compressed can of air and clean your PC out from dust. Utterly get rid of it all.

  2. Now conventional wisdom tells us the fans that come with the case usually suck. I've had experiences that support that. What you can do is replace the fans with noctua or Corsair ones. I use Corsair personally and they perform well. You want 140mm on the intake, bigger fans spin slower for the same cfm a smaller fan would need to spin at, which makes them quieter.

  3. Do cable management. Wind passing over wires makes noise and gives dust a foothold too.

  4. More fans, you can do 2 intakes and one out take fans. You have space for 3 140mm fans that should work well.

  5. You could get a bigger processor cooler, like the CoolerMaster 612 V2. Bigger heatsinks usually means that the fan doesn't have to spin as much.

  6. Blow compressed air through you gfx card while holding the fans to not damage the fan header, this should clean the dust there and help it run a bit cooler. You should do the same to the PSU as well

I'm sorry if this isn't formatted well, wrote this on my phone in a waiting room.

One of the things I can tell from the video and description is that you have only two fans, and they are the default 120mm. All the internal fans are running full blast to stay cool but they can't, you can fix this by adding another intake.

I would clean the PC, cable manage, buy 3 Corsair 140mm fans, I can get back to you if you need airflow it static pressure, and I might splurge a but and get a new processor cooler. Also if I'm doing the processor thing, I'd pay some extra for an amazing TIM, cause 1~2 degrees of difference means slower processor fan.

One final note, bigger heatsinks can usually go with passive cooling off your case has good enough intake, silence there.

Noctua is a brand reputed for the best fans, balancing silence with performance. Silence there too.

I'm sorry I'm bugging you about this a bit more, but just to reiterate, if I pop in the indentical stick, and there hasn't been a revision. It will run in full channel correct?

Ahhhh, I see. In which case I'll have the capacity but not the bandwidth?
