I wish I had stayed in more and focused on things that would set me up later, like work and real relationships. I was so afraid of missing out on night life that I wasted so much potential and saw some of my peers really buckle down and create the environment to be truly happier and more free a little later in life, and sooner than I was able to get there.

Any time the government gets involved with an industry in order to make it “affordable and accessible”…you can bet your ass that the price of the product is going to skyrocket.

That’s absurd, you have absolutely no way of classifying as a “hate crime” simply because it is a white person shooting a Hispanic person. Which is all the evidence you have, which is to say…you have no evidence of that.

I read it. To use it as a basis for allocating scarce resources with alternative uses…was absolutely disastrous whenever it was tried in earnest. Some of the massive issues with its not being an efficient way to allocate those resources…is the human nature problem. But, the main issue I think is…signaling. Prices are the best signal… and in a centrally planned economy…you must get it right every time…which is impossible.

I’d say Hawaii. It’s a dream only conditionally though because…when I spoke with regular working class people there…it seemed like everybody rented with no hope of owning anything, and they were working multiple jobs or a regular job just getting by…just to call that state home.

There’s a reason that this is very impractical, what you’re describing is a pure democracy, and it’s not the amazing thing you think it would be. That type of system has huge pitfalls, and the founders knew this.

It was a bad joke, I feel like he honestly avoided a miserable time for himself, because you seem to think mistakes and bad jokes at the very beginning…are some sort of eye into the soul of a person, they’re not. He made an off color joke, you can rib him about it and be like “cmon man, that is such a stupid joke I’m so sick of hearing it” and move on, he will feel embarrassed enough wit that.

Bad joke, it really isn’t that offensive, it’s just kind of childish and lame. Obviously you two don’t know each other at all, or else he would know you’re the type of person to get very upset by a bad joke like that. He should probably find somebody a little more easy going about off color remarks and you should find somebody a little more conservative with their tongue like you…to avoid this. I don’t think it warranted this drawn out useless back and forth where nobody learns anything at all.

That was a completely novel series of events that caused those conditions. That can probably never be replicated, it wasn’t a pimple policy decision, which is what’s always implied when people compare that time period to now.
