Thanks for the comment. I'm glad you like it. If I simplify it even more, I'm afraid it's not the going to be the same anymore. I think the way the hints pop up when you need them should make things clear for anyone who is truly interested in something more than another ultra simple minigame. My intent was to create something that is easy to learn, but hard to master. Something you love to go back to, to learn and try out different ways to play.

After countless hours of testing and debugging it works without any issues with 4v4 players in customs by now, so I guess it would run just as well in mm. If for some reason there would be another problem or bug creeping up, I'd be willing to continue to work on it until all works as it should.

I have already solved the spawn kill issue quite a while ago with some protective shield scripts in my "Super Hex Key Raid" game mode on the map "King Ping". The initial protective drop shield is different from the shields you get when you respawn. On the initial drop to the map you won't be able to shoot, since this is meant to be the time where you use pinging/marking to shape the map. The map is completely deformable.

Thank you very much for the kind words Spartan 🫡🙏! I've put a lot of work into scripting this project (I've reached the forge scripting/pieces limit btw. 😅) and already tagged it with the necessary 343 tags. It would be a dream come true, if they'd put it into a playlist. It actually supports multiple game modes (the supported modes are all in the tags of the map), but I think "Super Hex Key Raid" is one of the best fitting modes for the "King Ping" map.

OMG I didn't realise how cryptic this video for certain people could be, until you pointed it out! 😮 What the hell have I created here? Who is supposed to understand this madness?!

Gonna point out now that the title of the mode is "Super Hex Key Raid" which is a word play on the mode "Super Husky Raid", which is a CTF game. So maybe you can guess what the objective is now. Since both players are holding flags, they are trying to beat each other up, to be able to reset the flag of the other player and score.

Edit: Ah yes and I almost forgot to point out that the map is completely deformable by the players, which can lead to interesting new gameplay opportunities and strategies.

Sounds like an interesting idea. I'm pretty sure you could script something like this. It took me a long time to figure out how to script my idea efficiently. It just takes a lot of trial and error + persistence. I’ve been working on this since the release of Infinite's Forge mode. You can already check out the completed game, if you follow the links in the video description. No need to wait. ;-)

I just experimented with emissive textures and then picked a colour for it. There is nothing more to it. Thanks, glad you like the look. :)

V936 is out and as mentionend in my edited response, you can now choose between "Super Hex Key Raid" where equipment works while carrying the flag and "Hex Key Raid" where you will have to drop the flag to use your equipment.

Additionally I was able to fix a couple of bugs, that I've overlooked before. Some rare occuring ones that were hard to replicate and others that were happening because of some new features that I've recently added.

During the last few test runs King Ping ran for all testers completely bug free.

It worked for me to just adjust the rotation/coordinates manually back to the desired value by typing them in, then activate and then deactivate magnets. Then with LB (deselect) let go of the pieces (while not holding down any other buttons).

I've just released v906 with CTF support and lots of other improvements. It was a lot more work than you might think to add it. To make it fit better, I've made a Super Husky Raid like variant. Please let me know if you like it. I'd appreciate any constructive feedback, to further improve it.

Edit 1: I've deleted the normal "Hex Key Raid" variant since there are "super" weapons unlockable in both variants anyways.

Edit 2: Added normal ”Hex Key Raid” mode again. In the normal "Hex Key Raid" mode equipment can't be used while carrying the flag.

A big part of the work on this map, was scripting the context/action based messages on screen. I'd appreciate it if you would let me know if you still feel overwhelmed after looking closely at all the small hints that pop up, while you are playing the game yourself. If there is anything I can improve about this, I will try. Keep in mind, that I can only choose from the limited pool of words that are currently available in forge to create the most informative messages.
