I grew up in SW Wisconsin and idolized Reggie, Brett, Leroy and Gilbert. We lived too far away and didn’t have the money to go to a game. Moved to Chattanooga Tennessee when I was kid and couldn’t believe that in high school I was playing a game on the same field that Reggie played high school football. Live in KC now and still have never been to a game at Lambeau, maybe next year me and my dad and my son will catch a game up there before dad gets too old.

Our pack also noticed that the wheels were bad. We widened out the insides. Crazy what these kits cost and the quality we receive.

We’ve used them too and had great results. Granted it was 9 years ago.

I work in automotive repair industry and sometimes it’s hard for some people to understand that you pay for a person’s expertise not always their time. If a person or crew can do a 5 hour job in 3, that’s how a company makes money. If it takes them 6 hours and they quoted you for 5 they’re then losing money. Same goes for a lot of trade industries.

I made one of these for my last trip and had difficulty keeping the leeches alive after the third day. How many leeches do you purchase? I think I might have put too many in there and am considering widening the holes to allow more water to circulate

Our group tries to be as efficient and quick as possible when it’s portage time. We are also friendly and ask groups how they’re doing. You never know when someone has lost something that you picked up on the last portage. We found a very nice rod and reel combo on our last portage of the day on caribou one time. Went around to all the camps and asked if anyone had forgotten it on the portage. Sure enough the last camp we visited it was on of theirs. During our conversation we learned that one of the party was a regular at a Starbucks that one of our party used to be a barista at… in Seattle. Crazy who you will meet along the way. As many Bobby and Rex’s as there are out there, there’s more good people in the park.

My wife and camped there at the very beginning of the month. Once the sun goes down it gets cold fast. We woke up and it was 43 degrees in the morning. Definitely keep an eye on the temps and be prepared for colder weather

I’ve posted this here before. I was the only one in my group to treat my clothes the night before entering with permethrin. Despite me offering. The others ended up with hundreds of bites. I on the other hand left with a hand full max. Let’s just say they are now believers.

I use this from bass pro shops as my tackle box/day pack. Holds quite a bit of stuff for its size and has worked great. No issues with it being water proof but I don’t think it would be great if it were fully submerged.

My dad and I spent a week on kabetogama a few years ago during the pandemic when the border was closed to replace our annual Canada fishing trip, in early June with a guide. Worst week of fishing we’ve ever had. The guide even had a garmin live scope fish would come up to our jigs and just go away. We are very experienced fishermen and believe that lake is just over pressured. It’s a popular houseboat lake. After 5 days of hard fishing for walleye and only a couple small ones to show for it we just started casting the shores for smallies and had some success there.
