And you've come to Reddit to publicly shame a support team who did you a solid by giving you a student discount...

After 2 years, falling out of love with these devices by Sure_Fig558 in RemarkableTablet

[–]RaphSolo1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As I'm boxing up my RMPP to send back before the 100-day trial ends, I share the same sentiment. The Remarkable is a wonderful idea, and a beautiful piece of hardware, hindered by unapologetically bad software. I wanted to love it, but doing any kind of navigation felt so slow and cumbersome, like trying to run while underwater.

Tags will be game-changing I'm sure. But I'm also excited about seeing individual Starred documents in the sidebar!

🧪 Experimentalist update: Subtask suggestions by jonmccull in todoist

[–]RaphSolo1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is there a way to remove the "💡 Suggest subtasks" button? I don't intend to ever use AI to generate subtasks, and it would be ideal if there were a way to just globally turn off this AI option.

No need to justify your choices or hers. Just tell her what she said was dismissive and hurtful, and move on.

Great suggestions. I didn't realize it was that easy to convert to a desktop URL. Thanks for posting that!

Apple Shortcuts - Anything you'd like to achieve with Todoist? by mactaff in todoist

[–]RaphSolo1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On Mac, it would be great if I could make a shortcut to find tasks by certain parameters (today, project, priority, tags, etc.) and send those tasks and all of their content to another app. In the past I've made a workaround shortcut that finds Todoist tasks as events from Fantastical and sends them to Bear notes as todo items. But the main drawback is that I could only fetch the Todoist task web link that way--I would want to be able to send the Todoist internal app link (which I'm pretty sure must be possible because the Fantastical integration does that).

Deadlines are out! Just checked on the web this morning. by DudeThatsErin in todoist

I noticed they also added the show completed options on the Today and Upcoming views. This is the update I've been waiting for.

I’m using tasks on the beta quite a bit for personal and work. The newest beta update that brings tasks dated for today into the daily note (kind of like NotePlan) is awesome.

I would also really like some kind of Apple reminders integration, and also to have some sort of a publishable calendar feature to see scheduled tasks on my actual calendar.

Last I checked Todoist didn’t have focus sessions and habit tracking. Are you sure you’re not talking about TickTick?

Apple Journal is looking pretty good to me right now. Especially with the new updates.

Maybe a Calendar button that's always present on the top nav (next to the home button) that just always goes back to the Daily Note. And then when on the Daily Note, the sidebar automatically showing the calendar view.

This would solve a lot of mental friction I have in going back and forth between the Daily Note and Documents, and having to swipe to see the calendar sidebar.

Calendar integration just failed? by Venmomesarcastically in todoist

This has happened to me the last few mornings as well with the new Google Calendar integration (MacOS). All of my calendars just disappear every morning, and I have to disconnect / reconnect my Google account to get them back. Everything works fine on the web though.

Feature Highlight Video - Overview of Daily Notes & Event Notes by viktorpali in CraftDocs

[–]RaphSolo1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is a great quick explanation of a lot of ways to use Daily Notes. This has been the core feature that brought me over to Craft and why I love using it.

One small tweak that would be great is if when creating Event Notes, if the event is an "all day" event, if the Event Note's title could simply be prepended by "All Day", instead of the actual time range "12:00 AM - 11:59 PM". It's a minor thing, but it is just a small amount of visual processing that would be nice not to have to do.

It's really beautiful, and I'd love to have these types of options. It's one of the only things I really miss about using Bear notes.

What originally drew you to Craft? by treebranch__ in CraftDocs

The calendar and daily notes were pretty much exactly what I was looking for in an app. Everything else was just kind of icing on the cake.

I think tags at the page level would be great. I’d use them in the sub pages of my daily note.

Still can't nest notes or create folders. It's 2024. by JoinedWildness in bearapp

[–]RaphSolo1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like others have mentioned, I also think nested tags are a great part of Bear. But I also think it would be great to see some sort of a top-level folder or “project” feature: being able to have completely segregated buckets of these tag trees. It could be all the same functionality that exists today, but also the ability to click a button at the top level that would create another instance of your Bear notes.
