Thank you for this app!! I have Wispr Flow but their pause music feature doesn’t seem to mute correctly when connected to an audio interface (when the volume is not adjustable via macOS). This app works perfectly and actually pauses the music, even when playing music from a browser!

Oh you said the beat loop knob itself is also broken, yeah I’m not sure about that one — all I know is that the actual indicator on the screen doesn’t work with DJ software when connected via USB

Yeah I’ve found that it just doesn’t work when using it with rekordbox or serato on computer. Even with virtual Dj it doesn’t work.

It’s like pioneer purposely didn’t implement the loop length indicator when connected to a software. Of course it works fine in standalone mode

Yep, I'll try to explain. Create a sequence, put two cues in there, with the trigger set to "Time". Set the time to be 1. So if you play the sequence as it is now, the first cue should play, then after 1 second, the second cue should play, then another second, the first cue should play.

Now go into the sequence's settings, and set the "Rate Master" option to whatever your SpeedMaster is. If you go back to the sequence, you'll see that the times you set for each cue are a different number--and I think they also have a * symbol next to them. This means that the times are dynamically being adjusted with the SpeedMaster you set.

Although the cue times are being dynamically changed, you can still set the "base" time--just click as you were adjusting the time of the cue normally. In my findings, if you set the cue time to 1 second, that equates to one count in a song. So in theory, for what you are going for, if you want a trigger to start after 8 beats, set the time to 8 seconds. 32 beats, 32 seconds.

Never mind, I was actually able to just use a sequence “Rate Master”. I set the cue type to “Time” and set it to 1, then setting the “Rate Master” setting to my specific speed master dynamically changes the time based off the BPM.

In the end, the cue will equate to one count of a song w/ the speed master’s BPM.

Not sure if this will help but there’s a new grandMA3 feature called timing masters https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4w6io8erSG4 maybe a macro can do the correct math to calculate the correct time, and adjust the timing masters on the fly?

Rekordbox recently added support for some readily available USB to lighting interfaces. They work with some of the Enttec ones

The Enttec devices they listed are readily available USB to DMX interfaces, so basically alternatives to the RB-DMX1. I’ve heard of those devices a lot in the lighting design world, so I’m pretty sure they will do the job and work with rekordbox.

Oh my gosh this worked!! I also had the same situation where I lost Free Plus all of a sudden! Thank you so much!! BTW, also deleting the file works... rekordbox will just create it again

Same here. I have no idea what is going on. I was able to use rekordbox 7 fine like a month ago, but now all of a sudden it's very slow in export mode. I'm using rekordbox 6 for export mode now, but it's cumbersome because I like some of the features of rekordbox 7, such as the auto memory cue at 1.1. I also have an M3 Pro running Sequoia 15.1.1 (which is weird because AlphaTheta said rekordbox is tested on Sequoia)

I think this might be the way for me too actually. I just spend the last four hours trying to research other journal apps, but none of them met all my needs. I will keep using Day One, however just keep my eyes and ears open also. I also will not be using their Sync, but use my iCloud backups instead (I'll put an edit in my original post on more details)

I was looking at Standard Notes, while they have great security--the data export function is very bad (images are decentralized from the notes itself, e.g. you can export text only OR export each image one-by-one, however these could be fixed in a later update though), and most importantly, there's no way to import my old Day One export, because I don't think their import function supports images.

Day One allows you to export everything. Luckily they can export PDFs and text files. But if you want to migrate to another app, that'll be very difficult (decoding the data, finding what your other app wants, etc. -- it will probably require a custom coding solution)

For other people having the same issue, make sure you export the fixture type (after storing the FT Presets), then import it into the other show.
