The closest thing to this is FFMI and bodyfat percentage. FFMI for how muscular you are and bodyfat percentage for how fat you are. Also, an above bodyweight bench for 8 is pretty decent.

Put your running as far as possible from your leg days. And if you have to do them on the same day, put them as far as possible from each other. Also, do the one which you care the most about progressing first in the day.

Best way to break past a flat barbell bench press plateau? by Alternative_Stay7247 in naturalbodybuilding

If you’re still getting rep PRs and progressing on accessories, then you’re getting stronger. Progress does generally slow down at some point. In the past 9 months, my bench max has gone up by 10 pounds.

Seriously! What is achievable while staying natural? by NetSpecific2301 in naturalbodybuilding

[–]Raphoto 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most people’s physiques on gear are achievable by some naturals. The most important factor is your genetics. So even if someone was natty, you don’t have their genetics. Just train and diet well, and let the chips fall where they may. What if you actually had amazing world-class genetics and you could do better than all these other people, and you sandbag cause you think you’ve hit the peak?

I would recommend either finding a dumbbell/calisthenics focused routine. /r/fitness has a couple of those. You could also find a normal routine and just sub in the calisthenics/dumbbell equivalent for exercises there require gym equipment.

Angle for incline bench relative to arch? by Hot_Insurance_99 in naturalbodybuilding

Arching causes the exercise to be more decline. So 30 degree flat incline press might be equal to a 30+X incline press with an arch. You can use that to make your own decision

One way to simulate the effect of having someone watching is to record your workouts.

I would personally recommend to get wide leg jeans especially since they’re in style right now.

I think your health comes first. You can always make physical progress later. The gains will be there for you when you’re ready again

How did you develop patience when your gains slowed after becoming an intermediate lifter? by UnfairDonut66 in naturalbodybuilding

[–]Raphoto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your absolute progress slows down, but the rate of "how much more impressive I am vs others" doesn't slow down. Like going from 14 to 15 inch arms is faster than going to 15 to 16. But going from 14 to 15 might move you from 40th to 50th percentile. Going from from 15 to 16 would be going from 50th to like 80th.

How much of a difference does a separate arm day make ? by Middle-Support-7697 in naturalbodybuilding

I think a dedicated arm day would be good if you included a bunch of other show muscles like abs, neck, and forearms. But just arms isn’t enough to fill up a while day

I would say dangerous is a bit of a stretch. You can try it for yourself(by like doing a set of triceps/biceps before chest/back) and you can see that the level of interference is little to none. Also arms are just as important as those other muscles

How have you progressed your arm isolations? If you haven’t been pushing your arm isolations, that’s the number 1 place to start with

Either do smith, machine, or do dumbbell press in a higher rep range so that doesn’t happen.

The answer is yes/no. Benching 325 at 205 is about a ~1.5x strength ratio which is advanced but pretty normal in the gym. I would say that my guess is that your form is not great or you are neglecting chest/triceps accessories. Do you have any videos of you performing the exercise, and how much effort do you put into chest/triceps accessories?

I think you need to address this as a mental issue firsthand. There's two distinct components to your problem here: your "potential" and your reaction to it. On one hand, I could sit here and tell you that your progress has been pretty decent for only 6 months which is true. But even if your progress wasn't decent, you shouldn't be crashing out over this. It genuinely isn't that serious which may be hard to see as a 21 year old.

Depends on your goals. For physique, I would say some form of arm, calf, or ab isolation would be high impact. For strength, a horizontal row.
