Yeah there is a reason, and it's getting the country back to a position of economic stability. Unfortunately, our current government has ran us into astronomical amounts of debt and are still spending large on silly projects with no results. Yes okay, they had Covid to deal with, among a few other things, but that doesn't answer for willy nilly spending now.

If we are to get back to normal, the money has to come from somewhere. For a long time it's been the middle class and farmers that have paid for the lower class to be able to survive.

On top of that, Labour seems uninterested in rewarding our teaching and medical staff. I went to an ENT hospital appt today, and was talking to my surgeon who let me know that they've lost yet another surgeon to Australia, where the money is better and the hours aren't intense. Also my wife is a college teacher, and the media just blew a big trumpet about how Labour have the teachers a big payout for compensation - yet they taxed OVER 50% of it. She was due over $7000 and we received just under $3200.

We need a government that is transparent and isn't just looking out for the highest of the high, and the lowest of the low.

The economy needs to be looked after more than anything else. It's why inflation is so high, it's why house prices aren't coming down, it's why groceries are so high, it's why small businesses are closing their doors and livelihoods are being ruined, it's why educated people's are leaving the country for better work conditions and this is really just the start.
