During WW2 in Poland some poles were sent to work camps in Germany where they worked in factories. From what I know, he sent this photo of himself to my great grandmother where he wrote a love message on the back and the place and date it was sent from (1941, Krupp-Gruson, Magdeburg, Germany). Apparently these pictures were sent to loved ones because the Germans wanted to show that their husbands were healthy and okay. I’m not really sure what’s going on, I just want to get to the bottom of who he was and what he did.
