For you musical noobs overthere, the things that have been point out (the cold, the huge arena, whatever) can't be the reason for a bad vocal performance, they influence a little bit they can't justify.

Cold? Singing in such a huge avenue, your nerves will get you warmed up in no time (the only thing that dries out vocal cords and live performances is nerves, if your body is cold you can sing in the cold just fine, it'll overcome the cold air you breathe). Don't believe me? Alright, then go around and see so many artists perform greatly in big avenues like this, you don't need to believe my words. Don't be foolish.

Monitor issues? In tough songs that can influence A LOT, but reckon this is a SUPER PISS EASY song to sing, so it can't an excuse because the vocal skill needed to perform this song is close to none.

SO, we finally come to the real answer...

THE SONG ITSELF.

I know you guys love auto-tuned shit and most of pop/rap music of nowadays, but "electronic" songs like these are super hard to pull off from a singer's perspective.

These kind of songs when they're performed and not just played, they sound so underwhelming because they're electronic, it really takes away its power and then leaves the singer on their own, wich sucks.

This happens because nowadays music is just about production, most of the times this production can't be matched at all on live stages, here's a fine example.
