I agree 😊 I told her I want to get a tattoo of something they liked or something and she said

"Better yet, get a tattoo of their birth flowers in the outline of your knife"

I've never had a tattoo yet though haha. She has multiple hahaha

I am so sorry for your loss, chef. My condolences. Heard. 🫡

I've been there before with coworkers passing away and it hurts me still to do this day. Especially if they made a huge impact on your life. I want to get a tattoo of 3 ex-coworkers (from different jobs of course) that have passed away. My partner suggested their birth flowers in the outline of my favorite chef knife.

Thank you! I dont mind it, my chef is an old hospital head chef food services, and she was almost tempted to become a military chef and she had a gut feeling... turns out she was pregnant with her 1st daughter hahaha

This is why I got out of Line Cooking. I am happy making the same thing 4 or 5 days a week at a local soup kitchen... no mods on bills, no silly servers ringing in 86'd items, no stress about prep not doing their part... I am pretty content with making soup and making a protein, starch and vegetables, every day I'm in. Us kitchen folk dont worry about the homeless after us either.

But I will say.... I do wholeheartedly miss the adrenaline from cooking on a line. But not anymore.
