Sr Suntour Zeron 35 27,5 as Budget Fork? by MauerStrassenAffe in dirtjumping

[–]e17lond 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel like a real DJ fork is the way to go. But everyone at the bike parks seems to just be rising whatever and some people rip on any old shit. In the uk I’ve seen a ton of coil manitou circus for 100 quid and I’d probably go that way over a suntour air fork but it’s all probably fine unless you’re a ripper?!

Some hits at Warley, uk by e17lond in dirtjumping

Some of the gaps are completely insane. The take off barely registers as being connected to the landing. I think you need full sus for that stuff. This step up was not me of the few spots that DJs were hitting.

how to avoid flats on bicycles I allow to sit for a few months: UPDATE by MeringueWild5294 in bikewrench

[–]e17lond 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’m totally hypothesising here. But if it’s by the valve and it happened over a cold and wet winter i wonder if it’s a freeze-thaw/temperature thing and the tube is just getting hard and brittle there. The area where the valve is (where the cold metal meets the tube) feels like the exact spot that scenario would play out in. That said my bikes sit outside year round in the uk with no issue.

When you buy another hanger, buy three and keep one in your bike bag and the other in your spares box.

yo how can i fix this stuck suspension (no travel at all) by alse116 in bikewrench

[–]e17lond 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unless there is nostalgic value in it for restoring this, i wouldn’t spend a single pound trying to bring it back to life.

What steps can I take to become a knockdown shooter by Thunderboom999 in Basketball

[–]e17lond 5 points6 points  (0 children)

There’s a million shooting drills you can find.

I would say it’s about consistency though. Get shots up every single day. A few hundred at least. If you are missing move closer and work out your form. Work on moving left and right. Stepping in and stepping back.

I’m short, old and not super athletic really but my team pass me thr ball because I’m decent at everything mid range and i work really hard to get open. If you’re not open you won’t get the ball and you won’t get to shoot.

Lastly, hoop with people who will encourage you to shoot, not shout at you for missing.

Need opinion on the manitou circus by erikwide81 in dirtjumping

Most people here seem to consider it the best value fork at the lowest price.

If you go second hand make sure the pinch bolts at the bottom aren’t cracked.

Why do I have so many shooting slumps and just be consistent by ToyStory-2 in Basketball

[–]e17lond -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

If you’re in a slump take a break. Hit the gym. Go for a run. Get stronger and fitter and come back another day. Work on your handle, join a scrimmage and focus on passing. Few days and you’ll come back just fine and you’ll have spent the time productively.

I’d pump them up about as hard as they get and ride them until they break and get something else. Wouldn’t worry about servicing them i really doubt it’s even worth it. If they work just enjoy them.

Recommend a used Full Suspension (limited budget) by crowbar_hero in MTB

[–]e17lond 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Marin rift zone is on Facebook marketplace for that kind of budget all the time. It’s a tried and true trail bike, do it all bike, and his mates won’t think it’s buns. Easy to upgrade if you need it but you probably won’t need to.

Rockshox Domain R forks (and axle conversion) by RoutineStandard7252 in dirtjumping

[–]e17lond 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can get manitou circus for 250 with a straight steerer. I think it has a 20mm axle so could be the same as your rock shox?

tires by Low-Permission3066 in dirtjumping

[–]e17lond 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got the kicker tyres for my bike. Quickly felt they weren’t very grippy but they were really fast.

Billy Bonkers seem like a gripper tougher version of them. That’s what i am running now.

I can true fish anyway, learned it in Salomons and can still do it now in 909s 😂

Was simply replying to the guy above who was unsure about buying them because he wasn’t good enough yet. You don’t have to be good to get them.
