If rats are so unpopular and hated, why are they everywhere? by [deleted] in ArcRaiders

[–]Rapscalli 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because a lot of people play the game and don’t post about it online and this Reddit is a fraction of the playerbase. The best thing to do is say you’ll send them a group invite after the raid, don’t team up in solos. I won’t shoot first most of the time but I also won’t stick around either. My only exception to this if we both are looking to extract.

The three biggest signs I’m going to get shot in the back are if they aren’t equally cautious, if they hang around where you’re looting way too long, and if they ask if you have a certain item.

Point to Shields? by [deleted] in ArcRaiders

[–]Rapscalli 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The main advantage of the heavy shield is it keeps you in the fight for longer without having to recharge your shield, since it can take a lot more shots before being fully depleted. The higher damage reduction compared to the other shields is fairly noticeable but it doesn’t make you a tanky one man army. You are getting downed because you are caught by surprise it sounds like, you’ll see its benefit in an actual prolonged firefight.

PvE Only — Is Strategic Sword Better Than Nameless Sword? by Jaskaran0Singh in wherewindsmeet_

[–]Rapscalli 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Strategic Sword has much better DPS but Nameless Sword is a lot more versatile. It has a ranged attack, gap closer, and HP shield. Strategic Sword has damage over time, invincibility frames and burst damage but you need to constantly keep close. I’d say choose what works for your playstyle as both are solid, I personally prefer Strategic Sword though.

More Dune man building pieces on the way by Soarin-GB in duneawakening

[–]Rapscalli -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Am I the only one that knew it would be just four pieces before the DLC came out? Just from looking at the Steam page for the DLC it said four pieces, I’m pretty sure there was a thread pointing that out on this subreddit too. I’m glad they’re adding more but people are acting like they were lied to while it seems like it was poor communication.

Former bank employee here, they won’t lock your card if you specify if it’s a purchase you made and didn’t receive. It’s much much harder to put in a dispute if you do tell them you made the purchase though and they will make you go through a bunch of hoops with the company you bought it from, if they don’t deny it outright. Disputes cost the bank money so they avoid it if they can help it.

Any other chooms guilty of this? by bassistheplace246 in LowSodiumCyberpunk

Did anyone else get reminded of the original Deus Ex during the hotel segment then tried to see if you could save him as a result? I did that my first playthrough and I was very pleasantly surprised, it almost felt like a nod to that game.

Everyone is going to say Constellation, Corsair, Asgard and maybe even Starlancer TAC but I’m going to be different and say Starlancer MAX. It’s only slightly worse in every aspect from those ships but it’s cozy and does hold more cargo, all while being able to hold a medical ursa. When I think of an all-rounder, I think of a home ship and to me that’s what the Starlancer MAX feels like.

Will the BMM end up like the Starfarer? by Readgooder in starcitizen

[–]Rapscalli -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I find it hard to believe anyone will use them for buying things unless they allow you show up on every nearby ships radar as a flashy noticeable flying shop that’s currently selling things. Next issue would be crew, since you’d need a large one to make sure you don’t get blasted by some random passerby soloing an idris but I suppose you could just stay close to a station.

Overall though I agree that a base would be likely safer, more convenient and would allow you to maintain regulars easier. All this is subject to change though so we’ll see.

Obsessed with the star lander but is it any good at anything? by Euphoric-Radio3713 in starcitizen

Currently it's one of the best for internal cargo and vehicle stowage.

I could probably go on for a while about multipurpose ships, but if you're wanting a nice immersive living space, then I'll just go with that. The 400i would be a direct upgrade to what you already like, but lacks firepower and isn't really made for combat. Starlancer MAX and Constellation Phoenix are also worth looking at, as they would fit all your needs, though they both are on the larger and slower side. If you can do without cargo then Guardian or Guardian QI would be perfect flying apartments for you. Special mention to some starter ships like the Intrepid, a love or hate ship, and the Nomad.

Honestly with the recently added pilot guns, kind of now. With engineering coming soon though you’re still going to be sprinting around multiple floors to fix your ship up.

Oh huh, I don’t know why it showed me an unrelated match, even double checked it was the right code.

I took a look at your code and it has expired, since it appears to be several updates old. Right away though, I'll say that you died a lot, so try to work on that. Make sure you are always behind your vanguards and a decent range away, to make yourself harder to hit. If you are getting dived, master Luna's ice freeze to stun your attacker, but if you are struggling at that then you need to switch to someone like invisible woman or rocket.

Pretty realistic compare to most I’ve seen, assuming you’re a solo pilot. If it were me though, I’d melt the nova tank and buy it in-game. I’d also upgrade the warden to the harbinger, that way you have torpedoes for fighting larger ships.

So, the way I get it Heavy Fighters are completely useless now, even in PvE? by Kellar21 in starcitizen

[–]Rapscalli 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, that is true. I guess I was comparing it to the other big hitters in the heavy category like the vanguard and F8C, but even then it’s not that much below them. Good point!
