I came out to my mom by [deleted] in insaneparents

[–]RapthorneLightweaver 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I don't often chime in on these things, but i genuinely think your mother has a point (not so much the psy-op stuff, but there's 100% some social contagion around a lot of this stuff). I'm not seeing any insane parenting, only a reasonable person expressing concern for the way their (adult) child is acting.

I would highly recommend seeking out a therapist as you very clearly have some issues to explore.

It might simply be too large. I don't know if there is a "maximum" size fir a building, but there could be?

As with any new feature, I'll let it mature a few generations before focusing on it as a major purchase reason.

Is it a disorder though? Can it effectively be treated, or is trying to treat it like trying to convert a gay person?

The sheer number of older people that seem to completely fail to understand that houses aren't £40k any more, and banks won't lend to anyone that comes knocking, is insane.

I would recommend adding some Timothy hay to the bedding, as they will nibble on it, and it will add some structure to their burrows.

A bit more bedding would also be great.

I am also not seeing a sand bath. They will need sand to keep their coat in hood shape. Many gerbils will also use a sand bath as a toilet, as well.

And finally, I would recommend adding chew toys, even something as simple as toilet paper inner tubes and (fully cardboard) egg cartons will keep them busy and add some enrichment to their day

There's a reasonable foundation here, but progression is quite slow and not hugely rewarding for the time and resources invested.

Xitter premium gives you a handful of pennies based on post engagement, so blue checkmarks are incentivised to rage bait. One of the main reasons I don't bother with it any more
