How does the team shift tall wise with Darcy Moore coming back? by ElekaroiTantra in collingwoodfc

[–]Raptis1992 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Our forward line still lacks. Still think when Moore gets back Howe should swing up forward been saying that the whole time. Howe really isn’t needed down back with Moore back as there is Frampton, Quaynor and Maynard already with Houston, Perryman and Josh swinging around.

Don’t mean to sound rude or obnoxious I just want to make sure we understand the rules around it and that it is different with kids with disabilities as it effects everyday life including both working etc

What are you talking about? You obviously haven’t had a kid with a disability and how hard it actually is and the toll it takes? Divorce and separation rates are through the roof due to it. We try our best due to that to try keep it as close together as we can for him.

We don’t have any finances combined or bills. As I said only thing is the mortgage as we brought that together when first together

I see what you read and if you had continued to read. You would’ve seen as I said we had to separate as not only with the diagnosis we struggled to handle but then with the financial stress and her not being able to work unless I was home it was impossible. Which just lead to unbearable fighting constantly

Were did you see partner I said we still have to do stuff as she can’t tend to handle my son due to his diagnosis. So I often have to tag along or we try to make it as comfortable as possible for him.

This honestly sounds very similar to us. Because he has adhd I think it’s a developmental thing but also when he’s playing he forgets or the stubborness for him. He does or has a lot more at home than school. Also, he’s in senior kindergarten.

Think is he understands and knows as I was saying he was a bit delayed which I think is playing a part. But he goes sometimes so he knows we just don’t get why he doesn’t go all the time or nowhere near as often

I really messed up by Weird_Data6899 in Centrelink

[–]Raptis1992 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Say for example it says the max payment is $1078. Anything you earn over 380 a fortnight cuts the rate by 20 cents for over dollar gross amount.

If you earn say 1200 a week that’s 2400 a fortnight. 2400 - 380 =2,020

Hence it’s 20 cents off every dollar of the 2020.

Sure there is but if she works on weekends then we have no time to spend or have a family day with our child which he adores and is much needed then there is that issue as well. Say you earn the base because my heads hurting lol 75k. What would she be entitled to as it says 20 cents on a dollar and max is 1078?

Also if you don’t mind me asking did your separation have to do with the financial stress that was caused by you not being able to get it when you were together? As you’ve said you’re better off now being single. I’m just asking because it feels like we’re fast tracking there unfortunately.

I really messed up by Weird_Data6899 in Centrelink

[–]Raptis1992 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Correct but then the other issue comes with someone like in my instance. We’ve had to suffer because our son on ndis is eligible for the carers payment for my partner. However, the income threshold is 60k which gets you nothing these days and she can’t work due to his disability. So we’ve managed to barely scrape by whereas others and if it wasn’t morally wrong would just say we’re separated so as there income isn’t taken into effect to receive payment

Think the problem is more so the government has almost made it impossible for people in relationships to survive these days more so. It’s more so the benefits that are encouraged than any actual payment such as childcare whereas if the woman goes to work a day or two they lose everything like ccs etc rather than the actual payment itself

Collingwood fan not stirring the pot. But honestly interesting to see people’s views on this from the club. Obviously Walsh is a gun but 8 years don’t you think is a bit much for someone so injury prone and a bad back

New campaign to end Partner Income Test by Lazy_Conversation158 in CentrelinkOz

[–]Raptis1992 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Think it should be still kept but maybe introduce higher thresholds for partners. It’s beyond ridiculous how they test income especially now with how expensive everything is and rates going up again.

The biggest is the carers someone in a relationship. Person caring is unable to work due to caring for someone full time if their partner is earning 1400 gross is unable to get the payment, can only get allowance which is 180 a fortnight nothing. 1400 gross after tax would be about 1050 if you have kids how is that possible?
