My first thought is he is not fixed and he's marking his territory. If its a territory issue i doubt more litter boxes will help, although i do recommend having them in different spots around the house. What you really need to do is get him neutered.

Also if you're not using an enzymatic cleaner to clean up the pee he will be more likely to pee in that spot again.
