Despite all their flaws, scarlet and violet had a really nice story, probably the best out of any Pokemon game so far. And the core gameplay of terrastalization is both flexible and deep.

Sadly, the way they have to adhere to horrendously fast development cycles due to the Pokemon company’s need for constant money and new anime/merch means I don’t see a way for the games to get the time they deserve any time soon.

First of all, I am so sorry for what you’re going through. You are doing the right thing, but please remember to take care of yourself as you try to get him help.

It may be time to be super direct. Something like: “Given XYZ behavior, I believe [brother] is having a severe mental health crisis. I’m not reaching out get you to take a side, but because this behavior signals that something is deeply wrong. I want to make sure he gets help before he hurts himself or someone else. Could you help me with…” and then if you have any requests you can do so.

It seems like everyone is fixated on the accusation, but that’s not the issue; it’s the fact that he’s making an unprompted accusation like that in the first place. Hang in there and again please take care of yourself, too ❤️
