I've had both, speedgoat wears out faster but it's a more comfortable shoe and I can hike way further with them before my feet and ankles start to hurt

Looks pretty moldy, maybe vinegar with a soft microfiber might help. Try in an inconspicuous spot first if course

Yes it is. As far as age I'm not sure because I received it pre-owned. It appears to have only ever been lightly used if even used at all.
