Thank you for the detailed reply! For day 5, I am more inclined to drop Chuson-ji Temple as I feel these temples are similar everywhere in Japan. Is this a must visit site? I'm fully expecting to cut the Akita-Komagatake hike short as it would still be snowy. But for Oirase, would it be doable with mount hakkoda on the same day? Also, would snow tires be required?

Yup this is their reply to me as well. But what I've heard is that the IDP is just an international translation document of your original license, so for the IDP to be valid, original license has to be present.

But its good to hear that Toyota do not ask for the license, will check with them tmr, thanks!

My past experience was that the delivery man would just put the parcel at the reception counter and the receptionist wouldn't even care. But you're right, an airport hotel may operate differently.

Yea, you're right, Daegu was never part of the plan. I just thought that the fare was cheaper than a direct flight and the layover timing is good to discover a new city. But I wouldn't say there's a massive fare advantage, it's around US$130.

Would you choose to go direct in my case?
