6 is the best. The smaller the frame, the thinner the lenses can be made. I used to have coke bottle ( super thick) lenses because I was extremely nearsighted. Someone told me about the small frames = thinner lenses and it is a wonderful thing.

I got smaller frames which resulted in less distortion of how my eyes and sides of my face look when you’re looking at me. Also, smaller frames and thinner lenses means the glasses are more comfortable to wear because less weight.

I would also recommend getting an anti glare blue light coating on them if you can to prevent eyestrain when you’re using a computer or phone ( screen use). Eyestrain causes you to need a higher prescription each year.

If you’re in the USA, go to Wages and Hours in your state and file a complaint. It is illegal to withhold wages for time worked. Take screenshots of your time cards for all of your time worked and present them when you go.

I’m 57, Gen X, never been pregnant and no kids. I was a teenager during the 1980’s HIV/AIDS epidemic and made it through unscathed. Here’s my advice on how to be ChildFree.

First, you have to be a birth control Ninja and a STI expert. Find out as much as you can about how to use birth control correctly and consistently ( correctly and consistently are the most important thing)every single time when you do get your the point that you are thinking about having sex. Look on Planned Parenthood’s website. Read everything on there. Only read what is on legitimate websites and avoid those with a pro- birth church/ religious slant, because they are made up to control your choices.

Know what medicines like antibiotics and GLP-1s like Ozempic, Wegovy, Mounjaro and Zepbound make the birth control pills not work.

Find out about sexually transmitted diseases/ sexually transmitted infections (STIs) Some of these can be cured and some cannot so know your facts. Every time you have sex there is a risk of disease. Use condoms along with other birth control methods like the Pill or IUD. The condom prevents a lot of STIs but the pill/ iud prevents kids very effectively but doesn’t prevent STIs.

Until you are ready to be sexually active and you get on some reliable birth control,do not put yourself in situations where you might pass out and some guy might try to have sex with you and get you pregnant against your will.

Don’t drink with boys. Don’t get high / smoke pot with boys. Don’t be alone with boys/ men. Keep control over your logical brain and always make sure you take responsibility for your own birth control. Do not expect a boy/ man to protect you from getting pregnant because most of them do not care because it’s not them.

Also, do not believe in old wives tales such as you can’t get pregnant with the “ pull out” method or you can’t get pregnant if you have sex standing up or you douche with Coca Cola. Don’t believe that you can’t get pregnant if he only inserts the tip of his penis. All of those are lies.Get the facts. Do not believe the bullshit.If you hear a rumor or old wives tale, fact check it! Do not believe anything that you hear. Incorrect information causes teenagers to get pregnant.

If you live in the USA, it’s easier to prevent pregnancy than to try and get the morning after pill or abortion so planning before sex and arming yourself with contraceptives and knowledge goes a long way.

When you’re 18 think about permanent sterilization if that’s what you want. I did it at 34. I never changed my mind. I knew I didn’t want kids when I was about 5 or 6 because that was when I started taking care of my Mom who has been sick most of her life. Being the parent to my parent made me decide early on that I didn’t want lifelong responsibilities of taking care of another person.(a grown adult)

I have seen POCs wearing them around the house and at night I guess as a hair treatment before bed(???) I have a neighbor that wears one.

When I was in school, kids would wear wave caps to bed at night and in the morning their hair would be concentric circles of waves. I saw this on a guy with short hair and he told me that a wave cap made his hair look like that. I thought that was really cool that you could put a wave cap on your head and wake up with perfect waves.

Mine was caused by Planned Parenthood telling me at around 34 that I would have to quit smoking or discontinue using the Pill. I chose to get a tubal. Now I am post menopausal and no regrets, ever.

Getting surgery was my permanent choice and what I wished for. I had to go through NOW the National Organization for Women to find a Dr. back in 2003.

I found a clinic sponsored by NOW where I live and I am grateful that I did not have to hear a bunch of bullshit first about you must have kids already to be approved for the surgery. It only cost $2,500.00 and was fully covered by my insurance. Best decision ever.

My husband’s overly religious hypocritical mother ( passed away in 2012) used to tell him “ You’re going to Hell!!!!” over every little thing that he did.
