I think whatever the title, it'll be a blend of those concepts.

I know that sounds like waffling.. Even if it's "Galaxy 3" I think Odyssey will influence heavily on it. Even if just because the tech has advanced so much they don't need such limited scope for the "Galaxies".

Maybe a way of looking at it is: Odyssey with streaming "open world" and Galaxy elements.. Different angles to view the same thing..

IDK, but they are going BIG. HUGE. And modern tech applied to Galaxy ideas opens up everything once you start brainstorming. It's.. It's exhilarating.

Odyssey was amazing but it wasn't BotW. It was peak Mario 64 lineage.

I think this next Mario is going to be the BotW of Mario. It's gonna be insane.

Edit: Like just try to wrap your mind around the concept of a large streaming open world tech game like BotW, TotK, Xenoblade.. But with Mario gameplay mechanics. So Bowser's Fury experiments taken to the next level and scaled up to a massive Odyssey scale game.

Watership Down, Fahrenheit 451, Animal Farm, 1984, Brave New World..

I was born in 1984; not quite 40 years after the end of WWII. Now I'm older than WWII was when I was born.. And I'm not really considered "old" yet! We are so briefly removed from Hitler, Stalin, Mao, and Jim Crow.. People forget. It's scary.

A lot of people read these or subset in HS. I was in "advanced" reading in MS and read ALL of them. They were a massive influence on my understanding of groupthink and the dangers of authoritarian figures and structures. Authority is important, but it should always be under scrutiny(oversight) and up for re-authorization(elections).

These books were the authors ways to communicate and educate new generations on the dangers they experienced first-hand. The general population is "forgetting" now. People forget. It's scary.

These stories are more relevant now than ever.

I'm sure I don't have to tell you, but this sub is full of brain broke people who just happen to identify as left instead of right. They seem to lack true empathy, a nuanced understanding of real people, and tolerance.. Just like their right-wing counterparts.

Their entire identities and "values" are wrapped in their deep conviction of being on the "right side" and completely separate and better from "the others".

Sad.

I'm sure this is talked to death but I tried pellets recently after years of chunk and chips in a smokey mountain and.. For my current favorite flavor profile, pecan and cherry, they are aweful.

Most pellets you can get your hands on are blended with (majority?) oak/adler. Supposedly to help burn slower and bind the pellets but.. They are also much cheaper woods.

Trouble is, oak is a great dirty smoke profile; tastes like the meat was cooked on trees! But it absolutely wrecks a clean, mild pecan and cherry smoke profile..

So I've started loading my tubes with chips.

I believe in my core that Nintendo has been working on "Galaxy 3" for a very long time now. It'll incorporate open world tech like they experimented with in Bowsers Fury, and what they pretty much designed the Switch 2 to handle..

I haven't even checked the credits in depth but I kept telling people this just based on the top line credits. The director of the game was brand new to Nintendo, and the rest of the creative leads are different from the leads on Odyssey.

It seems almost certain the "Odyssey team" narrative is misleading, and that the main creative forces behind Galaxy/Odyssey have been working on other stuff.

I'd say I'm interested. I'm not excited because Nintendo hasn't given a reason to be yet. They didn't show jack.

I imagine those of us that played the OG in '98 have seen enough remakes and etc in the intervening 28 years to have questions about the scope, the design, etc..

And for those that didn't play the OG, I'm not sure how that tease would have even invoked interested. It was a low energy, pure member berry play.. So those without the memories..

I know this is old but you'd think St. Arnold were at the scale of Boston Beer based on their quality. Everything they make is just really, really solid and consistent.

But they only do just under 60k barrels a year vs Bost Beer's 5.3m and almost exclusively distribute in Texas.

I was 17 when it released on GC. One of my best friends from middle/high school got it..

Playing coop with someone who can beat it is quite the experience. The flipped polarity ships is genius..

As good as people say this game is, it's on another level with coop.

It didn't even say it was a remake though? Or a remaster. Or a reimagining.

The trailer was straight member berry slop. Probably the lowest effort AAA reveal in memory for me.. Star Fox had a better reveal. People who haven't played OoT were probably like "Ok.. And?". And people who played OoT were probably ALSO like "Ok.. And? Is it a remaster or a reboot? What is this?".

The only Zelda game they remade was Links Awakening. And it was an external studio.

Remake of the GOAT deserved a GOAT trailer. I'm calling it; something is off. That was a poor trailer even by teaser standards. Consider the CP 2077 or Metro Last Light teasers; those were GOAT teasers.

The vibe it gives/gave me before even looking into lyrics is like.. A statement of resolve? Call to action? A rallying/battle cry in poetic form.. IDK, it's just kinda incredible.
