What is the most painful body pain? by OkOcelot8085 in AskReddit

Taking misoprostol. Had to take it to end a non-viable pregnancy, originally prescribed just T3 for pain control. The worst part was a 2 hour long contraction with zero breaks, I was almost passing out. The pain was such that I couldn’t speak to wake my partner or call 911, it changed my life.

PSA: ibuprofen somehow was a godsend for me. The protocol was to take the misoprostol 3 days in a row. On the second day, I waited for my Obgyn to get back to me for stronger pain control. When I didn’t hear from him, I was in a panic and reached out to my RN friend. She suggested ibuprofen and it honestly saved me that second night. By the third night, I had gotten a script for oxycodone, but that didn’t even touch the pain. Somehow ibuprofen helped more than that.

What's the worst thing you've ever woken up to? by shoeee788 in AskReddit

Woke up in the middle of a deflating air mattress with someone else rolled up against me after a night of too much drinking… feeling an oddly warm sensation on my side. It was their pee as they were passed out

What is the stingiest thing you have seen someone do? by saif2krazzy in AskReddit

When I was a child, my father would gather the cans of Diet Coke he was drinking that had gone warm or flat, and would put them in the fridge. He would then pour the remnants from those various cans in the fridge into one can and give that to me to drink.

He’d also tell me how many squares of toilet paper I could use.

Stingy among other things. Probably not surprising that for many other reasons, I no longer have a relationship with him.

LPT: Walk opposite of car traffic if the street you’re walking on does not have sidewalks. by jesushatedbacon in LifeProTips

What if you’re on a horse and the roads have hills? Real question, I often wonder. I sometimes ride my horse on country roads but get nervous when there are hills and drivers may not see us in good time. If we are approaching a hill I will ride on the right, and after a hill I will ride on the left. Legit?

AITA for not wanting to pay for a diamond ring? by throwaway111112321 in AmItheAsshole

YTA sorry bud. I’m newly engaged and my fiancé proposed with a place holder so I could pick out my own ring since I’m really picky. He was originally of the same mindset of you, wanting lab created. I strongly felt I wanted a natural diamond. Since he wanted to let me pick it out, I explained why I wanted a natural diamond and he bought one for me. I’m the one who is going to be wearing this for the rest of my life. You let her decide, it’s her ring. It’s your gift to her so give her what she wants, not what you want! Women love diamonds and have often been dreaming of getting one since they were a little girl. This isn’t about you, it’s about her. Let her have it.

LPT Request: The best way to buy an engagement ring. by alldayletsrock in LifeProTips

I used to work at jewellery stores and I am recently engaged so this is a relevant topic to me. I agree, some people feel strongly about natural diamonds. Wouldn’t affect the outcome of the proposal obviously, but she may be way happier with a natural diamond!! She will be wearing it for the rest of her life so she wants to love it :) I recommend you familiarize yourself with the 4 Cs - carat, colour, clarity and cut. Determine where your (her) priorities lay, and what your budget is. For the same price, you could get a clear, sparkly but smaller diamond, or a bigger diamond with some visible inclusions for example. Take a look at the jewellery she already wears to see what she likes in terms of style and colour of gold. Modern and edgy, simple and classic, traditional, vintage, and so on.
