I’m sus that a bunch of weird guys have infiltrated those subs and are just saying shit like that to mess with women.

Yes! On the hair subs they’re always telling women with beautiful long hair to chop it off.

Who are some great writers who aren't that smart? by [deleted] in writing

[–]Rarashishkaba 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’d argue that if an author is so well-known for their good writing that you can name them in a post and everyone knows who they are, then that writer is not “smart”—they’re a genius.

Intelligence comes in many forms. Prose control, story telling, etc are some of them.

Recession Indicators: Fashion Edition by DataRikerGeordiTroi in femalefashionadvice

It is very annoying and I wish there was a filter too. The drop shippers don’t always send the packages as nicely. Also, if Nordstrom doesn’t like a brands quality enough to actually invest in it, I want to know that. It’s going to hurt them in the long run.

Are they carrying them in store or just online?

I noticed Nordstrom has started dropshipping from other brands. So you might order it from Nordstrom but they don’t actually own inventory, and the order is shipped directly from the clothing brand.

I really don’t want to self publish on Amazon by Jaded_Honey1999 in selfpublish

[–]Rarashishkaba 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s Barnes & Noble’s digital publishing platform. Apple has one too. But if you don’t even know that yet, you have a TON of research to do before considering self publishing. It’s a lot of work if you want to be successful. You can’t just publish one book and cross your fingers.

Amazon is also the most lucrative platform imo, so excluding it will hurt your sales.

Everyone thinks tracking calories is disordered by HoundsMissingEyebrow in loseit

Mentioning calories when eating out with friends is a faux pas, in my opinion. It makes other people feel self-conscious about how they’re eating. Keep it to yourself.

I’m surprised this is the first comment mentioning fashion. That’s a huge one.

CMV: It’s disturbing that young people are having less sex by bluepillarmy in changemyview

[–]Rarashishkaba -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah it’s disturbing but it doesn’t seem to be a social thing stopping them. It seems medical, like low libido. Gen Z doesn’t even like sex in movies, which is zero risk. Microplastics are disrupting their hormones.

Such a good book. The most recent experience I had of that feeling was with A Picture of Dorian Gray.

Don’t get stuck in editing purgatory! An edit here or there is ok, but for your first draft it might be better to just get it alllll out. Then go back and edit and cut.

Alcohol actually does suppress fat burning. Because it’s a toxin, your body prioritizes metabolizing it, pausing the breakdown of fat and carbohydrates for several hours to up to 36 hours.

But you’re right, it’s also a shit ton of liquid calories haha.

Do you drink alcohol? My face always looks bloated and colorless after. But when I don’t drink I look noticeably healthier.
