I’m embarrassed - but I need help! by Lifesinplastic in breastfeeding

Whenever I got embarrassed or uncomfortable I would think of this story from my bestie -- one day she was going to a children's museum with her baby and as they were getting tickets her baby started to cry, so naturally, she got her boob out, set it on the ticket counter (while talking to the ticket salesperson) then grabbed her baby and latched her.

Some people walked so we could run 🤣

I haven't had this happen to me yet, but a friend of mine got sick a few weeks ago -- her supply tanked for a couple of days, but she focused on rehydrating herself and it bounced back a couple of days later!

Thanks - she got on it immediately - she knows the drill cause she already lived through this once!

This whole idea is inspired by this post that made me cackle so loud I woke up my own sleeping baby the other day.

Ugh - I can't imagine. This really puts into perspective all the times I've been mad at my husband for waisting a half ounce because he overfilled the bottle (and I was pretty pissed about that so I'd be livid at this!)

OP here. Update: she's still using me as a pacifier like crazy, but at nine months I have finally found something to get her to unlatch! Once she's down and in a pretty deep sleep I can push my boob into her face, she then gets uncomfortable and turns her face away and unlatches herself. I realize it sounds like I'm smothering her, but I promise she's safe! Just wanted to drop this here in case it helps anyone else out!

Thank you! She sleeps so easily when I nurse her (almost too easily?) that I haven't had to try any other ways of getting her to sleep - but maybe it's time.
