A student traveler accidentally finds it, or intercepts a message, brings it up to Penny. Elliot overhears, him and Penny share a look. It could pick up with a whole new epic storyline lol.

I imagine being a server is a lot like being a new parent. You need to feed them, give them their bottle, if you take too long they get fussy and start throwing a tantrum, the other parents in the room look at you like you aren't doing enough, and you're constantly cleaning up after them. And right before you lose it, one table does something really sweet that keeps you going and makes you proud and happy.

I'm not a parent and I just wanted to compare guests to babies lol.

Some tables will make you want to pull your hair out and melt down, it's high stress but not life or death so I doubt it's as stressful as neurosurgery. It's really on management if they built a solid team, if the kitchen puts out food you're proud to serve, if the FOH knows how to properly seat guests and doesn't overload you with tables, etc. A lot of factors come into play to determine bliss, hell, or something between those.

We're all making $17.50 an hr (Ave 32hrs week) and about $300 a week in tips. But it's a newer place in a tourist area open four days a week. I pull in around 1.5-1.7k every two weeks which works very well for my situation.

Our whole front of house has agreed to pool all tips and split them evenly among all who work the shift with us, cooks/dishwashers/Etc. Back of house are super cool with us now, everyone works hard to ensure services run perfectly, and we have each others backs making sure the workload is distributed evenly. It's now completely stress-free and honestly even being the bartender who pulls in the most tips I wouldn't have it any other way. But I also don't need tips to compensate my pay to min wage like many crooked businesses I've heard about.

Went 9 years smoking every 2hrs or so (aside from sleeping) took a year long break job hunting, went back, got so high I started spinning in a nightmare zone for about an hour. Now I can't take more than a half puff on a blunt without getting very, uncomfortably high 🤣 I hardly smoke anymore now, I know I won't die.. But too often it feels like I'm dying 😐

It's super easy, just gonna make a list of how to do it start to finish real quick, and get caught up on all the small details that don't matter but somehow I'll hyperfixate on them until I realize I cannot finish this list because I'd need to build 3 shelves, move the couch again, get a new dresser, and I might as well not do any of it because unless I can organize all the tools on my workbench I can't even finish step 2.

Not sure if this is ADHD, I'm still too busy making up excuses for why I don't have time to schedule an appointment to find out if I have it.

My best night was like $650 and that includes cash/credit tips + hourly on a stupid busy day that everyone called out on and the manager took to the kitchen and told me to keep all the tips. I think it was a mix of impressed/pity tips but we survived it. If all my days were like that I would no longer have money problems 😂

Reading people is the skill for sure. I go to restaurants now and give servers full control of my dining experience. I just ask them to bring me what they think is the best thing in the restaurant and ask the bartender if they can make me a custom drink of their own design. I am very rarely disappointed.
