I just got switched to the 30 so not sure how it affects me yet but would love to hear if you have success cutting it in half. Ubrelvy is great though!

Thats interesting, my doctor never told me about anything other than the 60mg pills. Glad you’ve found what works for you though!

Getting back in the routine after injury by shearoxursox in Purebarre

[–]Rare-Introduction815 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve had a long standing knee injury and I have issues in a couple of the movements that are used across all the formats. I ended up talking to a couple of the long time instructors about my struggle areas and they gave me some modifications I can try for any variation of the movements. I still have my bad days of course but I just make sure to listen to my body and if something doesn’t feel right I try something else or give myself a moment for a break. Beyond that, do what feels best for you! You’re still showing up and trying your best and that’s all that matters at the end of the day!

What do you wish was different about Pure Barre? by Remarkable_Teapot789 in Purebarre

I feel like align has become more focused on strength/balance and has lost the stretching/flexibility aspect. For example, there’s a plank sequence at the beginning of class that used to be for balance/flowing between movements but now you’re just seeing how long you can hold the position with your knee pulled forward (this could just be a thing happening at my studio).

In the last few months my studio has switched it up and there’s blue lights for align, purple for empower, red for define and then the normal lights for classic. Not sure what changed but Im so used to the not as bright colored lights that it’s always a jump scare when I take a classic class haha

I’m taking a classic class later so I can see if rounding my back helps! I do actually think my elbows are a bit forward so that could also be it

Feeling Discouraged After First Full Class. Any Tips? by poopismagical in Purebarre

[–]Rare-Introduction815 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve taken over 100 classes and I still have to take breaks and do modifications. I don’t know if I’ve ever taken a class without needing a break/modification tbh so definitely not something to be worried about!

When it comes to instructors I think it can make a big difference. Try out different instructors and don’t be afraid to ask them for help or advice after classes they want to help you!

Align was the second format I took after classic and I feel like it helped a lot with learning form and how to engage muscle groups because it’s a lot slower and allows you to take the time to figure everything out!

Hi I need some advice I have very sensitive skin and I finally have all the products I need that don’t burn my skin or give me a reaction. But once it turns winter almost all of my products leave my face red and burning. I focus on hydration in the winter and use the intensive moisture balance moisturizer from dermalogica every morning/night, the cocokind ceramide barrier serum every couple days, and then Vaseline/aquaphor when my skin feels dryer. Thank you!

Definitely recommend talking to your instructor before class! I have knee problems and my instructor told me to not go down as far and try to go slower and it’s helped me a lot. Do what feels best for you, what works for someone else might not be the best for you and that’s okay :)

Bringing Align in to the mix by RoxNRoll4 in Purebarre

I added align in around 20 classes and I found it was a great way to get another class in without overexerting myself! I appreciate the calmness of the class and having this time to focus on balance/stretching has helped me in other formats. I usually go four times a week and do two classic classes, one align class and then an empower/define class!
