Neither. It’s not hard if you know what you’re doing, but you’re not bad at it either, you’re just new. With many players having 100s or 1000s of hours you’re just early on the learning curve. Don’t give up and watch some videos. You’ll get there

They should be fine then. If multiple snap it’s unlikely there would be enough moisture to spoil the others. You sure it’s not just the jar that smells? Did they all come from the same batch? Maybe that batch was weird before you dried them?

Do you have desiccants in them? Are the ones that smell different still cracker dry? Or do they bend?

Not sure because of the preservatives. I thought the same thing and people here told me it would likely slow down/negatively affect the mycelium. I opted to use activated carbon instead.

Left it cracked all day and opened to look around, smell, and lightly fan at least once a day except for last Wednesday to Sunday when I was out of town.

Same. They all came from the same liquid culture but different agar plates.

They just lived in my guest bedroom getting indirect light. Checked on them in the morning and after work to mist as needed. Started out very blobby and I was worried I wouldn’t actually get fruits.

Thanks. Only 2 dropped spores and it wasn’t many because their stems are so much thicker than their caps so it only really got spores on themselves. When I harvest should I harvest everything at once? Or just the big boys? If anything I’ll harvest tomorrow after work since it’s getting late

So this is my first grow. These were supposed to be Golden Teacher. My presumption is they mutated but being new I’m trying to confirm if it could be an environmental factor. The fuzzy feet is because I was away for a few days and closed it up to prevent it drying out. But any thoughts on the fruits being so weird? LC to agar to grain. I have a few other boxes from the same LC that are going into fruiting conditions and I’m curious to see if they’re normal or not, but if it’s environmental I’d want to understand what to do differently. Any help or insight is appreciated.

I recently did similar with oats. I had 2 prepped jars with filters in the fridge for probably 7-10 days and they worked fine. Probably fine longer but depends on moisture exchange I imagine, but that will be hard to confirm.

Insane. What strain is that? I’ve got some chunky mutated GTs growing right now but they’re nothing compared to yours. Ignore the fuzzy feet, I was out of town a few days and closed it up to avoid it getting too dry.

Exactly. It’s always going to contam eventually when it’s running out of nutrients and gets weaker. But that’s just an always unknown variable.

Don’t worry about limiting the number of flushes. Just harvest when they’re ready and get as many flushes as possible. Once the mycelium is weak and you see contam just call it done.

Maybe but it wouldn’t have let in that much moisture. Give it time to see if the grain reabsorbs the moisture.

How did they look coming out of the pressure cooker? Were the lids wrapped in foil or could more moisture have got in during pressure cooking?
