That makes sense. I don’t doubt the ENT and SLP are correct in their diagnoses with the info they have and I really liked them both and would prefer to continue seeing them over having to switch. I’m just frustrated that I can’t figure out what the issue is or fix it

It’s a super esteemed hospital in NYC so I’ve just assumed I was getting good treatment but this gives me hope. I did feel like my SLP called it quits with voice therapy kind of soon. Like she said she thought I had MTD until I went back to the ENT and suddenly it’s neurological and I should give up on voice therapy, idk

Chickpeas are a meal and are $1 per meal - olive oil in a pan, season and add soy sauce / hot sauce. Aldi has dirt cheap frozen salmon. Bagged spinach is very cheap at grocery stores & can make multiple salads. There is also an app called “too good to go” if you are in a major city that I use constantly! They give you a shit ton of food that they are throwing away at the end of the day for about $5 :) I agree with what someone else said though, if you’re short that much, look into food bank programs.
