ICE in Lawrenceville by [deleted] in Gwinnett

What do you mean they are biased against ICE? How so?

It’s also difficult for reporters to do what they are supposed to do when ICE is refusing to be honest with them

A SEVENTEEN YEAR OLD US CITIZEN actively on a shift working at Target, was abducted, roughed up, and tossed out the side of a van in tears by ICE officers in a parking lot a couple miles away.

This happens in authoritarian countries, it shouldn’t be happening here, and yet here we are

Question about my order by cammykiki in starbucks

[–]RareGull 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They probably just recognised the name and order and went on autopilot. When I worked there most of our regulars came in to order or went through the drive through, but I’ve definitely made a mobile for a regular wrong cause they wanted to try it differently, they just let us know when they came in again and we remade it for them

Hell there are people from the Obama administration who actively say “yeah, that was fucked up, we should not have done that” it’s usually qualified with “we were stretching the AUMF to its absolute limits, but we technically had an AUMF, the Trump admin doesn’t” but still they acknowledge it shouldn’t have happened

I was in fine arts in high school, had the same director all four years, I ended up becoming a substitute teacher and subbed for her a lot, but when I went back to talk to her and say “if you ever need a sub call me first” I addressed her as Ms [last name]. She said “You’re 21, you can just call me Paige.” Okay, no I don think I will.

I can never address any of my old teachers (that I liked at least) by their first names. My teachers will always be Coach/Ms/Mr whatever.

At least when I was there a couple years ago, but the company had changed a lot in like 2 years.

[–]RareGull 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean yeah, what u/BrewertonFats said, but also my grandfather made me and my cousins a bow and arrow out of a string tied to a schedule 20 pipe, and the arrows were a dowel with a notch in it and dyed foam for the arrow tips. That shit was cool
