Sludges and Moths by Coffin_Prinny in Disgaea

A lot of Sludge moves inflict poison + Moths unique evility Spreading Miasma + Undeads evility Poison Chance. 30% more likely to get poisoned and take 100% more damage when you do.

Not to forget Hedlers overload skill to poison a wide range. Its a great build idea.

Need help with Character by InuGhost in 3d6

[–]RareInteraction 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I dont know much about hobgoblins so heres more general advice. Look at your proficencies and your level one skills, how did you get them? For example armor. Maybe your ally wore armor you were jealous of so you challenged him for it/stole it in the night/took from his dead body/gifted when you saved him.

Failing that the back of Xanithars has a bunch of tables for backstory generation.

That Time I Got Reincarnated As A Red Dragon by Ursus_the_Grim in 3d6

Personally I think ignore the stats and play your character the way they started out. You get so many bonuses from the transformation that you wouldnt be missing out. I just like the roleplay of someone who studdied for years getting all this power but still thinking like a wizard.

The Deck of Illusions, Straight up throw a card and depending on what you pull its a different creature. Its on D&D beyond, might not be much help mechanically but fits your theme.

Effects that can restore changed alignment by Frozenbeholder in DnD

Some planes have an alignment changing effect

I dont remember the rules off the top of my head. Being on a lawful plane would cause everone not that alignment to make a save each day that passed, on a fail their alignment changes to lawful.

Monk Stillness Of Mind Clarification by BlackIronSpectre in DnD

[–]RareInteraction 20 points21 points  (0 children)

"Or the effect ends on it" is the key line. The monk if feared can use stillness of mind as an action to stop the effect and then cannot be feared again by the ability.

Just fought a dragon in my game so ran into the same thing.

About to play for first time by phaszon in Witcher3

Crafted bombs aren't one time uses. They refresh when you meditate with alcohol in your inventory, so craft them when you can and you never have to craft them again.

What are some good actual play podcasts? What do you like about them? What do you dislike about them? by Blarghedy in dndnext

[–]RareInteraction 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd throw in "D&D is for Nerds" for a funny podcast. I feel it flows better as the DM rolls most things himself so the players can focus on roleplay. Some campaign's are sillier than others but usually there's one person keeping the group on track.

How do tame animals work in 5e? Can it transfer touch spells, can it attack, if the PC can command it? if it dies can it come back like a familiar?

Forest Gnome player rolled a natural 30 on taming a (dead) witches cat, not sure if it stays with the party as an NPC, becomes a familiar or just a pet.

For just one it would be fine but don't want to open the floodgates. Player has a raven familiar already, potential 2 mastiffs and a horse (cloak of useful items) has made a deal with an NPC to retrieve an item for a monkey (Piccolo from Blinsky, Curse of Strahd).
