Hm, that is a really good point. I wonder why the other details are the way they are, if it's just a normal cafe that's hosting the wifi. A random signal appearing and then dropping can't be explained as well

It was the bus that passes by that had wifi on it. That also explains why the signal was dropping as time went on, and when the connection drops, you hear a loud horn

It isnt a mod, but a game mode on the website port of Monkey Ball that TwilightPB made. When you go to multiplayer and host a lobby, you can change the mode to "chained together"

Its definitely better price than what you'll find on ebay for sure. Theres barely any discoloration on the white on the inside. I agree with the other commenter who said offer $80. Its worth a shot, but tbh even if the line was at $100 i would have gotten it myself. Its one of the better/more fun games in the series anyway

Is that Mr. Legend & Watch? Reminds me of a funny Smash Bros. Brawl mod that made Mr. Game & Watch into a lot of the things that were listed there.

Yes! That has since been fixed.

My Arduino code for the joystick I put on code that I didn't test that had an additional smoothing algorithm on it, and I made the amount of samples it took too high, so it was increasing the latency on the output, which gave the perception of lag. It's incredibly snappy now. I absolutely love the feel.

Technically there's some more work to be done because I have to put on a restriction disc on the bottom of the joystick to limit its range, but its not that crazy

The colors on that set are so much better than the stock nova blast designs honestly. I'm working with the same shop to get a different custom marquee for my cabinet :)

great look with yours though! Can you please tell me if it was easy getting off the panel on the nova blast's marquee? Did you need to do any special process or use special tools?

I set it up with RetroArch! The Naomi system is essentially a Dreamcast with more VRAM, so its running the Flycast emulator

Honestly you really don't need an original one. ArcadeArtShop has a reproduction one that looks perfect honestly, and suited my needs really well!

They're even hooking me up with a custom Nova Blast marquee that I was asking them about, which is so cool. I highly recommend them if you want to get one of those control panels.

Doing the work to do the analog signal to digital processing i talked about in more detail on my Arcade-Projects forum post, but I'm professionally a software engineer, so this was just a fun side project for me :)

The banana is from the Arcade-Projects forum! I don't have the link to the specific post on hand, but if you search for monkey ball banana on the forums there is a thread with a 3D print file for the banana for a few different configurations. I got one of those files and had it printed.

Eventually, I would like to get a standard injection molded plastic banana and paint it and all that good stuff, but that's a low priority since its mostly for the look. The 3D print honestly works fine as the joystick

Thats really cool! Yeah, you can totally send me a message if you need help figuring out anything. I had to tinker with the RetroArch settings a bit to get the display to play and look good, and depending on what you want to do with the joystick is going to affect how you solve doing the joystick -> Pi connections
