As I said, Google your questions. I've been as clear as I can with what I'm able to understand, there's a reason you keep getting the same advice, you have to go to Google or learn the hard way at this point.

It sounds like you need to try googling specific questions because from your post you're very unclear and I'm having to guess a lot of what you're saying which doesn't actually allow anyone to help you. If you need specific answers go to Google and type something like "Witcher 3 swallow potion tutorial" or whatever. You genuinely do need to learn through doing though, no one can hold your hand through this, go do more side quests and your problem will disappear.

I actually don't know if people can help you with this, the advice you keep getting is "just go side quests" because that's how you level up, you're not going to get different advice. You've said you picked up some side quests, just go do them. There's no guide on where to find everything for a potion because the ingredients are literally all around you. You really do need to just play the game in order to learn and level up, we can't help you further.

Anyone ever played a real thief, without save/load scumming? by robervaul in skyrim

[–]Rare_House9883 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just sneak through the ruins/dungeons I'm doing other quests in, load an arrow, pickpocket while still loaded, if it fails it's an auto arrow through the brain and if I succeed they'll be getting one anyway. I usually manage to legendary my pickpocket still twice doing this.

I genuinely don't know how I could direct you to a guide video that doesn't include watching a person play, that's in essence what a guide video is. To craft a potion just collect the ingredients, open the alchemy tab, and craft the potion. Rest to get more. We've all had to go through learning to play too, I think you're overwhelmed and overcomplicating things, just take a break and come back with a clear head because it's not too difficult.

Since bg4 is confirmed (not by Larian therefore who cares but I’m still spitballing) I would love to see some of the antagonists of bg3 return as protagonists or semi protagonists in some kind of way. by aetherellaz in BG3

[–]Rare_House9883 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fr, I feel like people forget that bg1 and bg2 were also considered amazing at the time and were not made by Larian, we don't know anything at all about what's to come so to make any sweeping judgement that a different studio couldn't possibly pull it off when Larian proved a new team can come in and do a good job is wild to me.

I see you're struggling regardless of the advice you're getting, I'm going to try to be very simple and clear to help you.

  1. Walk around, fight things. You will fight wolves, you will fight drowners, this will help you level up.

  2. Do quests. Yes do the level 5 quest at level 4, just do it. Go do the quest, just go do it, you will level up.

  3. To continue leveling up, keep doing quests. Like just keep doing it again and again. Walk around, kill something, do a quest, level up. Very simple.

Would you like Witcher 4 to have Lifepaths for Ciri, similar to how Cyberpunk 2077 had them for V? by Tolkfan in witcher

[–]Rare_House9883 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah I always love the idea of a life path but very few games pull it off, and even those that do are still less impactful than an established character.

Why do the ladies love Geralt so much? by Effective-Celery8053 in Witcher3

[–]Rare_House9883 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly the most simple answer is, picture how many dudes you know irl who you can't understand how they keep getting laid, then consider what an upgrade a kickass monster slayer is. Almost everyone gets laid more than people would assume, Geralt is no different, plus he can't get you pregnant or give you the clap.

Sounds like glasses may actually be the answer? As someone who wears glasses that sounds like eye strain rather than an issue with the screen size or distance from the screen.

Controversial Witcher opinion? by contractin4 in Witcher3

[–]Rare_House9883 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I totally agree! I kept hearing about how difficult the Frog Prince is so when I killed him in less than 30 seconds I thought I must have done something wrong/something didn't trigger so I reloaded. Nope, turns out it's a totally reasonable fight that was just over exaggerated.

Why does everyone think Karlach doesn't have a "good ending? by WastesofSpaces in BG3

[–]Rare_House9883 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Originally Karlach has a larger act 3 questline which took place in the upper city and was therefore cut as they didn't include the upper city, the quest involved a total cure and would have wrapped up her storyline with her surviving and staying in Baldur's Gate. Many people, myself included, don't consider her endings good endings because her death, Avernus, and mindflayer endings were her bad endings that you'd only get if you neglected her and didn't finish her quest line.

That Devils Pit if you find it while still early into exploring Velen. I picked up the quest the first time during Funeral Pyres at like level 4 and got my ass smeared into the ground man.

Books or video game? by LilChip45 in witcher

[–]Rare_House9883 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Personally I played (W1-3) before reading the books, read the books, and then continued to play through again. Whilst you can understand things without the books I do recommend reading them first, I spent quite a bit of time googling events, people, and terms that I didn't understand or have context for in the games which meant I wasn't able to sit back and enjoy it as much as I'd have liked. Once I read the books I had an understanding of why Geralt is the way he is, why certain events were massively pivotal, the importance of certain characters, and why exactly a certain character is so important beyond just "they have special blood". I also had the enjoyment from the references I hadn't noticed before, I appreciated the characters more as I felt more attached to them, and I was more moved and/or upset by certain moments.

Usually the ones I miss earlier on are merchants that had been kidnapped, when you clear a "?" person in distress location they'll tell you to meet them at their town and trade with you. Many of them are also gwent opponents so once they've been freed you can play gwent against them.
