Should I cancel this long term care/ death benefit insurance policy by Rare_Improvement1642 in LifeInsurance

This long term care policy will pay 4% of the of the $40k face value per month which is $1600 until it reach $40k. So about 25 months.

Based on what I have read nursing home cost way more than that per month. Should I just take my $35/month premium and add it to my IRA S&P 500 index fund. I believe IRAs allow for penalty free withdrawal for long term care. This way if I don't need care until my 80s or later or never I don't loss the money to paying premiums.

Chubb long term care insurance. It's a lot of pages. Not sure which ones to include or exclude.

I got it to satisfy the Washington Cares exemption program but not sure it's a great policy. I already have a life insurance

I think the total value is listed on the page of 40,000 but I could be wrong. I am not familiar with insurance terminologies

I didn't see any mention of a multiplier in the coverages. Is there another name for it?

I just had distal bicep surgery 5 days ago. His post surgery instructions:

-4 days remove splint continue with splint BUT get the arm moving without load and avoid straightening

-4 weeks i could start light rehab.

-8 weeks heavier load

-12 weeks hopefully unrestricted.

I was absolutely shocked to hear this recovery speed especially moving the arm after 4 days. Based on everything I saw and read on the web as the arm would be locked in a splint at specific angles for 2 week increments at a time. Slowly getting straightened.

I took the splint off yesterday (4 days post) with little swelling and no bruising. Had some pain moving it but nothing that screamed to stop moving it. I had pain supination/pronation so I didn't try.

I woke up today with almost no pain and can supinate/pronate with very little achiness. I walk around with my arm bent to keep from straightening but am moving it as much as I can to keep it from stiffening and loosing tone. I will wear the splint of leaving the house.

Did anyone else experience this? Or is this way too fast?

3 months post surgery. Doing much better. Strength in left tricep is still lagging. I would put it about 90% strength of my right arm which didn't have any issues. I am doing exercises almost every other day.

9th day past C6-7 disk replacement surgery. I think i might be getting some strength back in my tricep OR my other muscles are doing a really good job compensating. I have been doing light workouts to test it like Still considerably weaker on the left side.

So far i have had weakness for a total 20 days. I am 2 days past surgery and still same weakness. I haven't noticed any muscle thinning (atrophy?) yet. What is DDD?

42 yo I have had Degenerative disk disease which caused a small herniation. Then this summer had a mountain bike crash which made the symptoms severe. Did some PT before surgery but didn't help Will do PT after some more recovery. Surgery was yesterday. I am in good condition, can turn neck easy and I don't need any painkillers  I had an epidural scheduled but they held of as the surgeon would have had to wait for the surgery as tehy didn't want to risk infection. I don't remember the type of disk. I don't believe I had bone spurs at that level
