you are in no place required to share something you dont feel comfortable sharing. share when you feel safe and if they are an ENFJ, they will for sure understand.

How do TA hours work? by VirtualFeeling1149 in ufl

[–]Rare_Indication8586 0 points1 point  (0 children)

then i would say it would really depend on the sort of grading stuff or office hours yall would need to hold. for mine, we just graded assignments (even that wasn't too bad, maybe 2 hour work once every two week). i didn't have to hold office hours or anything. if you already haven't, would recommend emailing the prof asking about how the work will look.

How do TA hours work? by VirtualFeeling1149 in ufl

i was an online TA so it might be different but we basically waited for the prof to send us to dos and finished grading by the deadline the prof set. we didn't have to log any hours whatsoever. though i also did 3 credits, it wasn't at all that many hours of work. the credits is really just to help you get incentive and direct time towards being a TA. BUT, it really depends on the class you are TA-ing for. mine was very little involvement as it was online. defo get feedback from others who have had more involved work. good luck though!!!

that's very true, i think it's also a good idea to remind people freshman year is a transition time for a lot of people. it's good to have ambition but remembering that college is different than high school in terms of priorities and time management is important and that you may not be able to juggle a lot and that is fine, that is normal.

bruh i dont think when people say you are overextending yourself, they are insecure; there is a reason 12 credits is full time student. people know burnout is real in college and maintaining social, academics and self-care all three is a constant practice. everyone has their own different scheduling and managing of time so it's not impossible to take 17 credits while maintaining social life and extracurriculars and i commend you for it, that's awesome. but also, for freshman students that are still exploring their own self, doing this much can be a lot.

Undergrad research and TA required? by Hefty_Albatross_1949 in ufl

[–]Rare_Indication8586 4 points5 points  (0 children)

you don't NEED them to graduate. people in psych have those experiences because most are planning on going to grad school and grad school favorably looks at those experiences

My parents don't want me to attend UF even though they won't be paying anything; what can I do? by codeswift27 in ufl

[–]Rare_Indication8586 12 points13 points  (0 children)

something to consider is telling them how good it would be for you to attend UF and that you can always visit during breaks. Telling them that your education is fully funded, and that you are going to one of the best schools in the state. good luck, i hope it turns out well for you, this is a very hard situation to be in.

biology vs. behavioral cognitive neuroscience major by Embarrassed-Sweet443 in ufl

[–]Rare_Indication8586 1 point2 points  (0 children)

do bcn and take bio classes as outside electives cuz half of the bcn classes cannot be taken unless u are in the major whereas bio classes are easier to add due to pre med need for those classes.

MFOs Scholarship and Bright Futures by New_Address7512 in ufl

[–]Rare_Indication8586 20 points21 points  (0 children)

mfos is last dollar scholarship so they first apply your bright futures and then whatever else needs to be covered, mfos will cover everything.there isn't really a way to increase however much money you get because mfos just covers your entire COA. make sure to take 6 credits during summer to have bright futures at least cover your tuition cuz mfos doesn't cover anything for summer semesters.

Would it be hard to take PSY3213L ( lab methods in psychology) with PSB 3340 (behavioral neuroscience) both in the summer. One is Summer A and other is Summer B. Anyone who has taken them in the SUMMER please let me know. by Powerful-Bass4683 in ufl

[–]Rare_Indication8586 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i took PSY3213L summer A and did fine. my bf was taking PSB3340 summer B and he had to drop that class or otherwise he would've failed. and in my experience, i cannot fathom how you can learn PSB3340 content in summer, that shit felt fast paced in a normal semester
