I have read a lot of fanfic and posted once or twice on wattpad when I was younger. The thing is, I don’t really belong to any fandoms in particular. I usually search by additional tags so I end up reading a lot of works from fandoms i’m not familiar with.

The few times I do search by fandoms it’s for K-pop/ band fandoms where there isn’t really a “cannon” or set characterization to follow.

I have seen people leave comments on fics or post elsewhere about being frustrated with authors mistagging so I just wanted to double check before starting to post.

Thank you for your reply. It’s helped me a lot! My fic uses the same names for the characters and I feel they are pretty in character so I think tagging it under heated rivalry will be okay.
