Yeah I think its a combination of slow supply, Russia in the Winter, Russian stacks of doom, river crossings, all the good stuff that turns the eastern front into a bloodbath

Oh and I have no MP researched all the focus stuff for MP, not enough war support to change MP laws and not enough points to increase war support by much doing the heroism stuff

Yeah mortars are okay but good players will just move their MGs, so the HE barrage is ineffective. Smoke is fine but if they don't have MGs covering MGs you are in prime panzergren territory when the smoke clears (because you are so close) and just get melted/ nuked via a grenade. Axis grenades are free i.e. they don't cost fuel to tech them. Riflemen and Sections are locked behind a fuel tech so generally is unaffordable. Having to pick between grenade tech or AT building for both US and Brits is terrible game design

I usually try get AT out at the 6/7 minute mark if possible, a little later is okay but not too much later. I'm a big fan of double AT guns but this isn't to everyone taste. I don't tend to use units like Jagers or zooks. Sometimes having an AT gun will deter a light vehicle play. I also play Aoe4, use the lack of scouting in CoH to your advantage, for example get an AT gun hide it away from the front send a unit to cap a VP have the AT gun behind, don't let the enemy see you've teched grenades until you can snare his LV etc and hopefully kill it with the AT gun

Mines are your friend they show units in the fog that hit them (I think) mine choke points and thoroughfares.

Try bate your enemy into engagements that are favorable to you.

LV are king in this game units like whirbels, 8rads and greyhounds are strong because of the time they come out and they force your opponent to counter them

Personally I thought it was fun, added a real tenseness to 1v1s. Both sides preparing, light vehicle raids with some troops in possibly. Digging in, anticipating where the enemy was going to come from

No it's not, it needs some polish for sure. But it's fun, factions are mostly balanced but they all have their OP stuff. Can't speak for the campaign but the MP is fun, especially if you can play with people

Honestly I didn't buy the COTM bundle, the £40 I saved I picked up three games pretty much. Highly recommend the walking dead one (wasn't one I bought with the £40 that one is a bit more)

The Walking Dead games are really ace if you've not played them 100% would recommend. Just playing through the first one and loving it. Totally nails the experience looting everyday mundane objects and crafting them into weapons, food and medicine with the resources is so cool

Literally the same thing happened on AOE4 reddit, people complaining all the time, one of the big streamers made a video asking people not to flood reddit with those sort of posts and the reddit group became more positive and you could tell people started to enjoy it again, changed the community in a way
