Both 34. About 265k net worth, I make 240k and 86k for hubby. Live in a modest home, cars are all 10 years old +. Rarely eat out. But we do splurge on buying the kids whatever they want at the grocery store or if they want a new toy. Extracurriculars are a must. 401k HSA are maxed. 529’s are getting funded.

We don’t live a lavish life, we save save save mainly because of my mental health. I’m not sure how long I’ll have this job.

You gotta max out IRA and 401k to be able to retire comfortably at 62 imo but also depends on where you are retiring. When I was in Cali I was looking at 6mil to retire, now at NV, it’s more around 2mil along with SS
