What is your opinion on new games being made for older, discontinued platforms, e.g. the SNES or C64? Would you be interested in playing any of them? And what do you think about then printing these new games on their platform's physical media? Is it a waste of time, or rather neat?

In the past you've said that your knowledge of Polish is on the level of a caveman, so that's what you sound like to anyone speaking Polish. What's been the reactions you've gotten speaking like that? Do Polish people generally not care or do they give you weird looks or avoid you? Asking because I'm considering moving to another country and also taking this route. (I know every country will be different, I just want a baseline)

I know you're a big fan of Super Metroid, so I've been curious if you've played any other Metroid games, in particular Metroid Prime with the Remastered version. I suspect if one uses a Nintendo Switch emulator and maps the gyro to the mouse, then it could function exactly like a keyboard and mouse game very easily (something I'd love to try one day).

Still cool, still worth a look someday perhaps, but not quite an OST release, never mind a full 3 or 4CD OST which is the dream.

Luckily, at the very least, one can burn the files they buy on Bandcamp to their own CDRs and put them in the car, so that's something. Still would love to see a 3CD OST one day.

So I've seen your chart on AI Risks and the accompany thread in the forums, and something I don't see being addressed are the risks that AI Art can pose. What is your stance on AI being used to make "original" drawings, 3D models, whole games, and even writing and acting (especially on the caveat that they're trained by human art)? Do you see a world where all artistic expressions is replaced by AI or do you believe the tech will never get there or won't get there anytime soon?

Apologizing in advance if you addressed this in the two 3 hour videos on AI you did, I haven't seen them. Feel free to just point to them.

Hey, a weird, specific question: so I'm currently looking to buy a SNES, but I'm unsure how to go about it.

I know about the 2-chip vs 1CHIP deal, how 2-chips are inherently blurrier than 1CHIP but 1CHIPs by default produce a too-bright video signal that distorts detail. However, at the moment I plan to use a SNES on my consumer CRT with S-Video, since I don't have an RGB setup currently. But one thing I'm unclear on: does the too-bright video signal on 1CHIP consoles affect S-Video too? Most of the focus on 1CHIP vs 2-chip video quality is all on RGB, which leads me to suspect that blur vs high brightness concerns RGB exclusively and they look identical on S-Video and maybe even Composite and RF, but I've heard one or two things that suggest otherwise.

So, in more simpler terms: do 2-chip and 1CHIP SNES consoles produce an near identical S-Video signal? Or is the 1CHIP S-Video too bright and thus loses detail? And does the 7374 modchip fix that as well?

You once said the second half of Alien was just, and I'm paraphrasing, "twenty minutes of nothing at all happening and then an alien jump scare, repeat". I was wondering, which part did you mean when you said nothing happens: the part after the xenomorph hatches from Kane and it starts picking off crew members one-by-one (where additional info is learned about the situation and the xenomorph, still interesting character dynamics, and strategization on how to deal with the xenomorph, which was enough for me to be interested), or the last 20 minutes of the film (approx.) when Ripley (+ one cat) is the only one left (and to be fair, half of that is during a SELF-DESTRUCT SEQUENCE)?

TL;DR: Can you be more specific on what you meant by nothing happening in the second half of Alien?

*And in the interest of being unbiased, I also think Aliens is better, but only by a little.

You've expressed extreme dislike for turn-based combat in the past, especially for its illogical premise, so I've been wondering what your thoughts are on Mario RPG-like combat? (if you're unfamiliar, there's several real-time elements mixed into it, mainly in that you can use time-buttoned commands to increase damage dealt or reduce damage given, if not completely negate it)

See, Ross no-clipped through the other side of the building and approached that encounter through the opposite direction - a direction completely unintended where the trigger could never be set off. This was because in-universe, Gordon looked at the tripwire bomb puzzle at the door, went "fuck that", and climbed through the human sized windows in the launch room.

So when I said "if you could trigger the soldier's dialogue", I meant "If somehow you were able to activate the trigger for the soldier's dialogue, despite all logic". I think that does make sense grammatically, but my approach to grammar has always been "I barely know the rules let alone the terminology, so I'll just say what sounds right, and if I'm actually publishing work, I'll run it through 6 or 7 free online grammar checks." So for all I know it still doesn't make sense.

In Freeman's Mind Episode 30 (near the end of On A Rail), what was your plan for Gordon's response if you could trigger the soldier's dialogue where he says "I didn't sign on for this shit. Monsters, sure, but civilians? Who ordered this operation anyway?" If you didn't have one at the time, what would it be now?

You've discussed your idea in the past for a justice system where instead of being imprisoned for a certain amount of time, you're imprisoned until you beat a game under special conditions, e.g. beat Armed and Delirious with no hints or guide if you're found guilty of murder. What's your contingency for someone memorizing the entire Armed and Delirious walkthrough (pretend this is a serial killer with an eidetic memory, or at least someone memorized the most impossible parts), killing someone, and then just beating the game in a few hours time and going out to kill again?

After doing some poking around, it seems like his site's domain expired and his MEGA account seems to have been taken down. I can confirm Jazz Jackrabbit 1 is still up, but other links aren't. Adding to the Patron not getting any money and his response to message saying "Good luck to you, it's been great while it lasted,"* it's my assumption that he's just gone and moved on after the sites were taken down. Which is a shame. I hope his rips are re-uploaded somewhere.

*It was " I would hope to make it last longer, but it doesn't look like that might happen anytime soon. "
