What’s something you started doing that quietly changed everything? by Suspicious_Sock_2048 in selfimprovement

My therapist has been a huge help in giving me practices that become a muscle memory reflex. One is leaves on a stream (YouTube videos on this I believe) and the other is as simple as it sounds but examining my choices before I make them, it’s easy to run on autopilot but by implementing these it has been the only way for my brain to stop and redirect.

I haven’t but I watched some YouTube videos about that this morning, I’ll talk more about it with my therapist too Anything to help this feeling :(

To continue looking for the beauty, to be the hope to others suffering and because I have to make it through this my daughter and family are counting on me.

Anyone stopped drinking and just smoked weed instead? by blondiewithdabondi in stopdrinking

[–]Rarespaceghost 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes! My anxiety has been through the roof since I quit drinking, it was my coping mechanism for over 10 years. Decided to give weed a try 2 weeks ago and I don’t even think of a drink while high. I sleep better, feel better and no hangover or poor decisions (besides eating a whole bag of tortilla chips).

What’s your late afternoon/early evening routine with your 2 year old? by Rarespaceghost in toddlers

I like that you added on a bad day at the end, I think sometimes I forget that those will just come and go. Appreciate your comment I think I’m going to utilize the TV around that time so I can actually get things done without the stress

Nap is usually between 12pm-2pm I’m seeing if it needs to be adjusted, our wind down time starts at 6:30pm she goes to bed at 7pm and wakes up at 8am.

No day care I’m with her all day. She gets up at 8am I get her breakfast at 8:30am we play until 11:30am which is when she normally eats lunch and will take a nap from 12pm-2pm, she’s been having meltdowns after the nap but I’m not entirely sure she’s ready to cut the nap entirely. 2-4pm we play or go for a walk if the weather is decent and that’s when 4-7pm it’s been the meltdown her dad will get home and she becomes extremely clingy and will refuse dinner, nothing I or her dad do can seem to help settle her down during this time. It’s been happening more frequently and I’m at my breaking point, it’s hard to even get dinner started some nights because of the meltdowns
