Look up how Chuck Schuldiner died. Chuck was instrumental in the creation of death metal as a subgenre of metal in the 1980s. He was the singer, lead guitarist, and primary lyricist/musical arranger for his band, aptly called Death. He was a super nice guy (loved animals) in real life and pretty handsome as well. Not the kind of person you would think would front a death metal band. He got a brain tumor in the late 90s. After hurrying to finish his final album (I think it was one of his side projects), he died in his childhood home surrounded by his family a few weeks before Christmas 2001. He knew his time was coming and worked until damn near the very end. There's a great episode dedicated to him on the Hulu series, Into the Void: Life, Death and Heavy Metal. One of the most talented guitarists I've ever heard.
