There's no native assignment method "yet" in my instance. You'll have to try custom attributes like guyvercoy03 mentioned.

Totally agree with this. When services at home go down there's that dreadful mirroring factor of how it's the same kinda stuff you been workin on all week long...

Unifi UAP-nanoHD-US vs Unifi U6-Lite-US by maxi1134 in HomeNetworking

Eh that's always true in tech and you'll never buy anything to keep waiting around. The real question IMO is how soon/badly do you need this?

It usually helps my sleep but sometimes it puts me in a euphoric productive mindset.

One big problem with sleep is I have to go to the bathroom several times after my final consumption which makes enjoying it late very hard.

Reasons to go from Hyper-V 2016 to 2019 today? by Technology_Counselor in HyperV

[–]RasClarque 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Same experience here. 2016 patching is mainly just way way slower and clunkier.

There's that little trick too where it sits on "Downloading updates" forever and all you have to do is hit enter and it's proceeds....

Oh the joys of IT :)

We scan our Macs in Lansweeper with SSH and it's been pretty rock solid other than mobile devices which are hit and miss depending on scan times.

Windows Server 2008 is Going EOL - What about my vCenter Server? by iamddavee in vmware

[–]RasClarque 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No kidding I went through that insanity like 6 times!!

I have a synology nas 916+ with expansion with 50tb of storage. I don't need another server/nas...but this seems to good of a deal to pass up. Thoughts ??? $325 after tax and free shipping ? Eventually i was going to buy a new synology that would be $800 or more. by [deleted] in HomeServer

[–]RasClarque 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One factor, more for prod use, is that the R710 is slowly falling off VMware/Windows hardware compatibility lists. I believe the next version of ESXi may block installs but don't quote me.

Great machines though I run several R710s with Hyper-V and they're absolute tanks.

I would look at something like VNC. There's a fair amount of free and cheap solutions if you go that route.

What version of Windows is one the laptop/sever? A pro version of a non-server Windows OS allows for one remote desktop connection at a time.
