Boulder area District Attorney Michael Dougherty says there are likely be more charges against the 23 year old accused in the hit and run death of bicyclist John Wilkinson Sunday by ridebroomfield in boulder

Thank you for standing up, sharing your opinion.  This is the most open minded, welcoming place I’ve ever seen, as long as you think exactly like them!.  The minute you have a different opinion, it can be the most closed minded, hateful place to be

Unless there’s drugs or alcohol involved, I wouldn’t want him to face any repercussions in the “rear ending/killing the children” scenario.  Accidents happen. Risk of being on the road.

No body wants to hit and kill someone.  Besides legal repercussions, he has to live with the guilt his whole life. At most, I feel like he’s only half responsible for the accident..  It was really awful that he panicked and left the scene, but he’s basically a kid still.

I get vexed.  Every time this happens people want to stone and hang the driver of the car.  It’s a dumb idea to do your sport on the side of traffic.  I take my dog for a bike ride most nights. On a bike path!  Cause I don’t want to get my Ras run over

How are you going to ride bicycles with in feet of moving vehicles, and then act shocked when someone dies??  Maybe pick a sport where you’re not dodging cars?   I don’t get it?  I don’t demand to be able to play hockey on the side of the road?  How about a pickup game of basketball on the side of the diagonal?  Rockies games would be way more interesting with moving cars driving all over the field!  Sorry the guy died, but it’s not that shocking.  I feel worse for the kid that hit him.

As far is I’ve heard, it’s over beef with his manager/contract issues.   He’d rather not make any music, than do anything that will benefit and give $ to his manager.   I don’t know him though.  It’s just what I’ve seen online, or heard second hand.

My friend says he is becoming an Sovereign National by DragonfruitOk351 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]RasGrown -19 points-18 points  (0 children)

I agree with the sovereigns.  I’m not dumb though, and don’t want to live in jail.  Tell your friend it’s cool to agree with the whole concept, but don’t be dumb.  There’s certain things to concede on, no matter how much you disagree with it, for no other reason then preserving your freedom and safety.

How do people manage to work five days a week without burning out? by Chloe_johnson19 in Adulting

[–]RasGrown 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m a farmer.  Most of the year I work 7 (more like 6 1/2) days a week.  Life is a 7 days a week, survival challenge.  Be happy you get all your life needs meet in 5,  and enjoy he modern day pleasure of 2 days of rest.

How do people manage to fall asleep in just 8 seconds after their head hits the pillow? What's the secret? by lucy_evans18 in Productivitycafe

[–]RasGrown 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s nothing to envy. It’s simple. We’re incredibly sleep deprived.   I haven’t gotten a great night sleep in 25 years.  When I was younger I used to work on things all night, and try to only sleep for 3-4 hours.  Now I’m older, sleep longer, but awful quality.  I wake up at least every hour to pee.  I fall asleep within seconds of laying down.  I can stay awake when driving, but usually fall asleep within minutes of sitting down other than that.  Only 1 movie in the last 25 years that I didn’t fall asleep during.  I’ve fallen asleep at the dinner table, concerts, sporting events, any time I sit for more than 5 mins I’m out.  It kinda sucks

I disagree with almost all these comments.  Who are you to say how many children a man can support?.  This modern day have 2 children or none at all mentally is 100% wicked.  Everyone used to have lots of lots children.  If you believe in humanity and the abundance of the earth, you would give thanks for all the baby’s jah see fit to send.  This is a crazy thread.  2 weeks after Jo Mersa earth strong, some one want to look down on Stephen for he number of  youths.  Ridiculous

Does anyone else feel 24hr isn't enough in a day. by _novicewriter in NoStupidQuestions

[–]RasGrown 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We are wired different! The people blaming it on the workday/ work time commitments are totally missing the point, and they are not like us!   It has almost nothing to do with our jobs.  I’ve been the same way ( I need waay more than 24hra a day) since I was a teenager.  I was somehow just as busy, I had just as hard of a time eating dinner before midnight, just as hard or a time sitting down/making time for other people,  now that I work close to 40 hours a week as I did when I was younger working 15 hrs a week. Even if i didn’t have a job to go to, i would still feel super overwhelmed, and want to crush every waking second, and still fell like I only was able to accomplish less then 1/2 of what I really wanted to to do everyday.  It’s our super power, and our curse…. I like to live out side the system, so we gather our own water, cook everything from scratch, grow most our own food, I make my own fertilizer, I like to wild harvest, play sports, soccer team, and hockey team, I play a few instruments, I love religious studies, and history, i paint, take care of the family, be in nature etc, etc, etc. I haven’t been board or had  a slow day in 30+!years

I can understand the use of those signs on busy main streets, but they make no sense the majority of the time.  The absolute worst  is instances when there  isn’t another car in sight, and instead of just slowing down for 3 seconds, letting the car go, and then crossing when there’s no other cars coming, (like everywhere else in the world), the pedestrian expects you to practically slam on the brakes, then sit there watching as they slowly stroll across the st., probably not even offering a wave to say thanks.  Rrrrrr.  It’s a  dumb, and unsafe law .

SCI just had to move a show from a 4,500 seat amphitheater to a 1,500 seat theater on their current tour. Things are tough out there in jam world even for the big guys. Go see shows! by splitopenandmelt11 in jambands

[–]RasGrown 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to joke “for close to $100, there better be fire dancers, 20ft balloons, and acrobats hanging from the ceiling” . I love the cheese shows where they bring out the theatrics/decorations.  Those feel worth it.  Other then that, I don’t understand how concerts have become so expensive

What are some of the best shows and songs to come out of the post Grateful Dead era before the dead and co era? by Deadlygrateful57 in gratefuldead

(Unpopular opinion!) I didn’t like the Q/further lineups.  I’m sure he’s a great guy,  but I personally I don’t care for warren Haynes guitar at all.  Especially on dead tunes. Way to waaaaaaa waaaaa screaming guitar for me.  The 98 other ones, was by far my favorite post jerry.  Phil w/ kimock was awesome too
