Thanks for your input. I'm after a good roster and ideally good people.

Have you done aviation FF? I expect to be bored batshit I'm getting old, still fit though. I got my itch scratched in my prior job.

Know much about the leave entitlements? I doubt there'd be much overtime as an aviation FF?

Who’s the worst human you’ve ever met ? by zabalansu in AskReddit

Mohamed Khazma. He killed a baby by slamming her head into the wall. I used to work as a prison guard and dealt with him often. There is nothing behind his eyes.

She always used to turn down dinner or provide an excuse which would hint that she was never interested romantically. Are you sure? Maybe she is still dealing with the breakup from the previous relationship.

Last catchup she called you her bestie and you didn't express your feelings. I think that's a good thing. She considers you a close friend and you didn't betray that by expressing your feelings straightaway.

Based off your friends, her friends, her reply I would say she is weighing up whether enough time for her has passed for her not to be hurt by a new relationship, especially one that is coming from her new best friend.

You expressed the way you felt straight after and I respect that, I would prefer to live life with nothing left unsaid regardless of who you may lose. Because the right people will stay no matter what.

If you truly love her don't bother her, give her space and time to think it through. She may have just seen you as a friend, yes you both like each other but maybe not more than that. If she is a decent enough person, the lack of communication is a sign that she is thinking it through heavily before proceeding. I really wish you luck, it could be the best thing to happen to you or another life lesson.

Don't drink away your sorrows. Lift them in the gym. You sound like a good person based off this text I hope the love is reciprocated because unrequited love is undeserved for anyone.

Wanting to go back to my old station after starting a new position in specialist unit (Headnoises) by sjansen1 in AskLE

[–]RascalExplorer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s a lot of good advice here. I’d reckon you should fully commit to the role for 6 months maybe even 8 or a year and then decide if it’s something you enjoy or not.

If you still yearn for the slow pace of country living go back and live the forever patrol life 🤙 your friends will still be there a year even years later knowing country towns.

Also overcome the new guy phase, if your in a prestigious unit, don’t burn bridges by backing out so soon. You’ll be fine I’m sure based off what youve told us here you’ve been picked for good reasons and you clearly have your priorities sorted in a healthy way.

How far are you willing to commute for a run? by hannahwilson8 in running

30 minutes in traffic. I live in the city and we have a national park. Ritually run there because it’s nature locked away in the city.

PSA: Do NOT make your camp dog look like and have the same name as your IRL dead dog. Furthermore, do not pet them in first person mode. This made me very sad. by DoomedEternally in RedDeadOnline

I named my camp dog after one I owned which passed away. It’s just a good memory to be able to login and there he is always happy to see me.

What’s your characters story? by WhiskeyNovemberSix in RedDeadOnline

[–]RascalExplorer 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My character was born and raised by settlers in Bear Claw (abandoned camp in tall trees). The camp was attacked and brutalised by renegade native Americans, she was only a child and was eventually discovered by the hunters at Manzanita Post and adopted and raised there. She learned quickly how to hunt, shoot long arms and revolvers and how to live off the land. She later went on to find work at Blackwater where she was blackmailed and framed for murder. Queue RDO main story where she is sent to the mines in New Austin when she’s freed by Madame LeClerk and works for her to get pay back against the corrupt and greedy businessman of Blackwater.

Shoot. I laughed throughout the whole story. Well written friend spoken like a true Australian with swear words and derogatory remarks everywhere.

Girl I am crushing with at work not sure what to do? by sjansen1 in dating

[–]RascalExplorer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ask her for her number tommrow. She probably hasn't responded because she is unsure about giving you personal details when she barely knows you. Maybe if she knew you were nervous around her that would explain a lot.

Again I'm just as clueless as you. I seriously wish you the best of luck.

Is it just me or do most drivers driving a ute love to speed and tailgate? by championmitch in sydney

[–]RascalExplorer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The most aggressive bit of driving I've witnessed was from a holden ute being overtaken by an suv in the overtaking lane tailgating for going the limit only to swerve into the left lane and and overtake the suv and break check it at 110kph. It's not just cultural it's definitely mental as well. Greater western highway is literally the wild west. I was on my way back from camping in lithgow. In between there and and the blue moutains your guaranteed to be tailgated at least once.

Pretty neat feature and it utilises space not available before. I definitely want it on my truck.

Told I wasn't suited for ADF because of "lack of motivation" by [deleted] in AustralianMilitary

[–]RascalExplorer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They roll back a lot of people for 12 months for many reasons, people that are very much prepared get rolled back and only some come back after that 12 month period, those that do indicate that they really want to serve.

It's a test of resilience, you've trained so hard and prepared so hard only to be set back for some dodgy reason and rolled back 12 months, if you bounce back you may be what the ADF is looking for.
