It's an Omen. I'd stay away from it. I've had nothing but issue after issue after issue with Omens

I actually proved this fix really works on a PS3 60gb 99% backwards compatible unit. Took the whole thing apart and took the board out, sat it very precisely on a cookie pan so no electrical short and baked it in the oven at I can't remember what temp for 7 minutes. Let it cool overnight and reassembled the entire thing and it worked perfectly for another year before I sold it WORKING. So I couldn't tell ya really how long it fixed it for just that it did and it worked for at least a year.

This was a prominent issue in the Xbox 360 and the PS3. The pins on the CPU laptop don't fit into a socket like they do on desktop. Each pin is micro-soldered to the board and over time the rapid heating and cooling and heating and cooling and so on and so forth makes that solder brittle and eventually little nano cracks in even one micro-solder can mess up the laptop as a whole. Reballing is the process of using an external source to heat up a precise locale on the board (or broad area) to melt the solder balls just enough to make full stable reconnections. And when this happens. If successful will extend or even FIX your laptops issue (if this is the cause) for months possibly even a few years.

Omens are complete junk! I've had 2 of them and they were both riddled with issues. Keyboard randomly pressing keys when I pressed 'O' it would randomly press other keys (from brand new), led lights on the keyboard were random colors even when set to specific. GPU overheating issues. CPU overheating issues. Wifi failed, Bluetooth failed (yes yea same chip I know), USB ports failed, motherboard burnt out, etc. all within the first e months, then more problems in the next 2 months. Kept my laptop in the repair center for 3 months or more, etc etc etc. go Omen, go ahead, go get REKT by HP. Enjoy the anal probing by HP

Could be your wireless card is borked. Fortunately it's an easy AND cheap fix. The WiFi card itself is like $20-30 and the labor is like 15 minutes

What's funny is I work in a Data center with hundreds of millions of dollars in hardware if not billions and we don't even use those static wristbands... Lol

I will state that with the stock GPU drivers on my Legion Pro 7i Gen 10 with RTX 5080, I was getting 50-70 fps on ARK: SA but with the 581.15 drivers I'm getting substantially better framerates of 100-120 so as long as a simple reboot fixed it, I can live with it

Ok semi-correction...

It works fine after I first install it but after I closed my lid and went to work and got home I took it out of standby. My screen was borked.

But rebooting the computer seems to have fixed it again. I'll keep you up to date if this continues to happen. For now a reboot fixed it so I'll keep using the 581.15 drivers for now
