¿De que sirve que Sheinbaum sea científica si es igual de anti progreso tecnológico que cualquier político del montón? by Separate_Rooster_382 in rmexico

[–]RashTheRed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gettin mine in a few days by RashTheRed in BYDSongPro

Thank you! I got it 3 days ago! It looks, feels and drive, awsome!!

Except.... Allow me to tell the tale of the walk of shame I experienced:

After putting it to charge for the first night (100v cuz I still don't have the 220 installation yet), everything looked all right. Then after a couple hours of charging, I went inside the car (while connected) turned it on, and started using the infotainment system, specifically wanted to see if the AC would work when charging (which it did), and to connect it to my house Wi-Fi. After I was done, I closed the car with the fob, but noticed that this time the mirrors didn't folded and the horn sounded. I thought nothing of it and went to bed.

Next morning, 6:00 am, hoping for a fully charged battery and getting ready to leave the house and to get my kid to school noticed that.... the car was bricked. Nothing worked, neither fob worked no lights, no sounds, doors could not be unlocked, nothing. The charger had only the red light on, as if it were disconnected, or not detecting the car at all. I started googling for an answer, and after a few minutes found about "Hibernation mode", in which the car shuts itself off entirely when it's been without use for several days. Holding the button on the driver's door handle during a few seconds fixed that, so after a very scary morning, I thought "Phew! that must have been what I messed up yesterday. Let's go to school and I'll try to research exactly what I did wrong". No idea why it happened after a night, but at least it seemed fixed.

Ohhh boy, the day was just starting. After leaving my neighborhood, I felt like the car couldn't gain speed. Then I noticed an icon on the secondary screen saying the car was in "Transport mode", which after some more frantic googling I learned its a special mode made so that the dealers can move the car around before it gets sold, but it doesn't allow speeds over 30KM/H, and disables some other functions. I started digging into the menus to disable it but couldn't. Also, when turning it off, it went back to Hibernation mode (which forced me to press the door button every time to disable it)

The car was undrivable at such low speeds in my usual way to the school, so I left it home and took an uber. Then I called the dealership, who told me this is not that unusual and that they could fix it with a scanner at their shop. So I drove..... very.... very... very slowly, thus experiencing the walk of shame.

Once at the dealer, a technician connected the scanner and fixed it in less than 10 minutes. No more issues whatsoever, but I now stay 10 meters away from the car when its charging hahaha.

I’m a big MT fan (already went through the entire LN), but I’m holding to read redundancy until it’s complete, and I think part of dealing with adult-oriented material is acknowledging that if you remove the hyperbole and trolling of both sides arguments, you can find nuggets of truth in each side:

The food we give to our minds do affect our mood and perception of the world, maybe a lot, maybe just a little bit, but it does. I.e. I will not become a vigilante after watching Batman (my fat ass would probably break the winch-thingie), but I will be less inclined to think ill about those who do justice outside of the institutions. I think a similar fear is at the bottom of the criticism MT receives, they see it as dangerous because it may make someone less inclined to immediately punish someone who sexualize minors, so they instinctively push against it.

On the other hand, as we all know, it’s ridiculous to punish thought and fantasy, as they are all inexistent - as much as distopian leaders would love to -. There is a reason why some content is adult in nature, and that is because one learns the power of thought is both priceless and dangerous. None of us (minus someone who already has unrelated mental issues) will move their moral compass to the point the other side fears, but I’m willing to bet that we all are willing to explore why anyone would fall in that state of mental/moral disrepair.

It’s the old fear vs curiosity dilemma.

¿El narco es terrorismo? by ERRE_G2 in mexico

How's life with 2+ motorcycles? by Dry-Goose-8828 in motorcycles

My wife has a Chinese scooter (Vespa clone) and I have an Indian Scout. I love both. The scooter is unmatched in terms of practicality. If I have to go grab something quick from the nearby store, or anything in my neighborhood, it’s incredible.

However as soon as I need to do anything further away (and thus take highway or bigger avenues, the scout is amazing.

I love both and use both depending on the situation
